Which oil do you use ??

I was thinking of getting Millers 10W60 for my next service, but I'm worried about the winter rating being to high, especially with the cold snaps we now experience on a regular basis. Is this oil more specified for track/fast road use. Maybe I'll go for the 5W40, in keeping with Subaru's recommendation. Or even the middle ground and go for the 10W40.
Also, I will be getting my gearbox and diff oils changed and was thinking of getting Millers Motorsport Gear Oil CRX 75w90 NT. I am a little worried after hearing some folks have had problems, since moving away from the Castrol Syntrax oil that was originally in the boxes and diffs.
I'm gonna dream of oil tonight...

Vauxhall 10w40 semi (£18 for 5L) every 5000 miles of the last 75,000 miles. MY97uk turbo 2000 DIY PPP now at 165,000 used and abused miles on original slappy engine (had 2 gearboxes and upteen brake pads/discs/tyres tho).

Yea Tony sorry your right got confused, its 0w they don't like. But my mate who has one of these computers tell how long job will take plus oils etc says you can use 5w but in cold climate. So would prpb be best for winter, but 10w would have thought be best for summer.
