I would have never guessed! For giving realistic, honest and accurate information on your for sale thread I am a tosser (spelling is correct)?
Stop taking the bait and let us know how much you sell for in the send.

It is true though. Some people are very quick to act the hard man when they have the buffer of the internet between themselves and the real world.

Usually a very different story when these people are met in real life.

Keyboard warriors, the lot of em!

More just personality clashes than people being tossers really (although there are 3 complete tossers on here, but they are 'special').

I can see both sides of stuart148's and The Trooper's spat as on the one hand one is trying to sell a car and feels the advice isn't needed whereas on the other one feels the car isn't as well advertised as it could be and feels the need to point that out hopefuly for the benefit of the seller.

There are of course a few people who seem to enjoy repeatedly jumping on other people's threads (particularly in the for sale sections) and they are just a bit weird, but for the most part I think posts are meant with good intention.

It's only when some other poster takes offence to what someone has said (either rightly or wrongly) that things degenerate.

As for the cliques I think that is the same no matter where you go, on the Internet or otherwise.

Easy way to solve this.

RTM any post in a FS thread that isn't about buying or information request regarding the car.

We've all got opinions about a car for sale - price, condition etc etc. But unless you're geniunely, just don't post. I will admit that I've commented on a price once - although I think " " was about all I said.

If folk on here want to throw handbags at each other, NSR is the place to be. Not a For Sale thread.

To prove how cliquey this site is, my car isn't even rated yet, just because I don't ''know'' anyone here.....even though it's an extremely desireable JDM, yet standard WRX's on here are rated, because the owners know a few people on here!

Look at MSOC, all on first name terms, they even cook for each other at their private meets.............where does it say anywhere on their posts ''we welcome new members?'' (I live in Middlesex by the way)

I personally just come on here either to enquire about or to give information regarding Impreza's...........and that suits me perfectly............although it would be nice one day to actually meet in person some of nice people I talk to on here.

Sorry but I've never bothered to rate anything, of anyone's...
Simply not that sad.
You seem to issues with your local "club", but "we" don't all belong in some secret conspiracy, honest !

dunx

P.S. The ONLY JDM I'd have is a 22B Sorry !

Hi Greg !

I would just point out that's dunx - as we Northerners are generally a self-depracating bunch...

And as you neither did the "Scooby wave", or did a "funny handshake", you can't be my friend

In the past clubs have lost out on gaining new members because the "clique" is strong within them, but I would advise anyone to at least give it a second chance.

IMHO.

dunx

P.S. Even within clubs you won't get on with everyone, the secret is to be polite and if necessary keep your distance from the scarey ones ...
