Saw that half an hour ago, I hope it doesn't happen or it would be an embarrassment to the club. We went out for not being good enough, simple as that. FC Basle have done nothing wrong and it would be a joke if we go put back in. Having said all that, it simply isn't going to happen as it will get resolved. Imagine the uproar from the other clubs in Switzerland if they all get banned/thrown out of European competition because of one club that blatantly broke rules.

It wouldn't be embarrassing if you won the whole bit, would it?

Aaron,
I spend time most weeks out in Switzerland and this guy Christian has a reputation for taking on the accepted order and fighting it to win. He has done it before.
There is a belief he will not cave in and the Swiss FA are aligned behind him. Embarrassing for a country that hosts FIFA!!!
He may not back down and believes he has the powerful Swiss judiciary behind him.

Winning a competition by help from a third party and not through results is not the same in my book.
Trout,
That's very interesting and funny how Sepp is keeping rather quiet on it If it had been an English club well I hope it all gets sorted out as it is unfair on Basel and I'm scared of playing Bayern

Keano
It's a shame it's all getting acrimonious between Keano and SAF.
I did like this line from Paul Hayward in the Telegraph last week before Keane's Times interview
"Ferguson would make no claim to have been in Keane’s class as a footballer, but as a psychologist, team-builder, supporter of youth and clan loyalist the “TV critic” would not be within emailing distance of his old mentor."
