whens your date??
update:
I've had some sleep last night, Jo texted to say she go no more than about 5hrs (whch is very good) but little Edward's had to have some more blood taken this morning, something to do with his platlets being low, Jo say's nothing to worry about.

As long as it is being monitered and they have it under control it's usually something that dissapates over time. There is no timescale for getting better, as it depends on how low the count is.
In my situation I have a different bloodgroup to my children, so there were some issues with antibodies cross contaminating and attacking the blood, only it was mine that got attacked as I'm Rh B neg.
Don't worry, they are in the best place.

Both our kids needed transfusions in and out of the womb because of cross contamination.
Nothing to worry about, Phil.

blinkin eck there's a lot to it isn't there.
Just come back, blood test this morning showed low platelets... yesterday they were just over 80, this morning they're now at 70.
Doctor iwas a bit baffled as nothing else is showing up, no sign of infection etc, so wonders if its just because of the head bruise (which does look a bit better today albiet still looks sore).
Will know more later when they check bloods again.
Apart from that.. he's feeding fine, no sign of jorndis yet.. and wants to sleep
Interesting to hear that they don't like you going over 18hrs once water break,
due to increased chance of infection. Jo went nearly double that, but doesn't seem to have got an infection.

Aparently the infection rule of thumb is changing a bit. Not sure I like the idea, but with monitering the mw's seem happy to let women go a bit longer.

Dont have anymore. Ive got 3. Its sh/t
CanIhavethiscanIhavethatIwantthisIwantthat.
Bought them 3 mini laptops for Xmas, 3 DSi's and 3 mobile phones.
2 laptops have broken screens, one DSi left outside in the rain, one phone lost and one with a screen wrecked.
Tried putting them on Ebay but the listings got removed. Something to do with it being illegal to sell kids online.

Don't fret, little fella will be fine. If it's anything like over here, they have a jaundice test at 24hrs old, if it comes back with too high a reading then they need to take another test, which means another night in as it's got to be taken a specified period of time later (might be 12 or 12 hours). Our little one had a higher reading so had to stay the extra night. He was fine, well, until we had him home for about five hours, but that's another story
