wow what an arsey forum,
yes, the revised dunlops are scarce at the moment and only available through the stealers so they are going to sting you, but you dont have to use them, set of R888s is £1500 but obviously not runflat. The dunlops are better than the bridgestone in the dry, but the bridgestone better than the dunlop in the wet....

Perhaps dont end a post full of negative with a "haha" and you'll find we are very civilised people

i didn't think the post was negitive, more informative. lets face it if your spending the hard earned on a new gtr, then the price of tyres probably wont be an issue, how ever if your buying one used then these costs may be hidden,

i was told that the wheels are cast magnesium alloy, hence the run flats as if not fitted the alloys can be damaged, obs they are a little bit more expensive than the tyre round it,

the cost to service and maintain the car is the same, regardless of it being bought new or used.....

A new wheel from the stealers will set you back just shy of 2bags....however i have used runflat and none runflat rubber....prefer the runflat for the stiffer side wall, but will be getting the R888s next....knowing my luck just in time for winter ha

hardly a shoot down, telling people what the parts actually cost,

i think there an amazing car and an amazing feat of engineering actually, and had i the money it would be the first car i buy.

to think i actually used to pay to keep this forum running aswell, just because i dont have 2000+ posts doesnt give you the right to be a ****.

enjoy your holiday,

good thing really, means you cant drink as much, in-turn saving so much more for the future of the GTR it starts with a ypipe and cobbs, but then there are filters, which are just so easy to fit and we all know how it goes from there

I'll do Cobb, y-pipe and K&N dropins, should see late 500's I recon. Much more than that and it's deminished gains for major wonga. Lol, we can look back at this thread in a few years when our cars are 1000bhp+

Thats pretty much my plan as well, plus the gearbox software... and some wrapped parts

Next year in the summer? all at 1000+ have a meet at the beach to discuss this thread (and tyre prices)?

and probably a transmission oil cooler or rear diff cooler so the extra power can be enjoyed longer on track.

As long as the beach has a Shell garage near by

re the transmission cooler,

me and eddie fitted one to his 10 plate car, it was a very decent bit of kit, bumper duct required a bit of cutting though,

fwhat its worth it did a good job, but he did say it was a little overkill on the standard car, i know he uses aftermarket gearbox fluid which had a better temp rating, not sure if he still has it or sold it though,

I like the look of the Mines canards too, they look effective rather than just for show. Less keen on the $2641 price tag . Doubt they would be road legal anyway, I can see some pedestrians being chopped up if they get in the way

Nismo do an official warranty approved rear diff cooler that's also supposed to help transmission temps. There's no before and after temp figures though.

the canards are gorgeous, all their stuff is spot in design and quality wise.....im a big fan of stock looking cars with a twist, if i was going for some aero i think i would wait and save for the mines stuff it really is immaculate fit and finish to the extent that it could look like it was actually like that from the factory
