Having a Canberra flick 90 degrees left bank when it was at max take off weight and in the middle of the night when there was nothing but black to look into and the altimeter had not even indicated any climb above ground level! I had to fly it level until it gained a few extra knots speed and the ailerons were able to level the wings and it then started to climb.

it turned out that some **** had seriously over stressed it some time before without reporting it anf the entire airframe was twisted well out of limits! It was the max weight take off which showed it up! Nice honest bloke before me!

That sort of thing makes you think deeply for a moment or two.
