From: Secretly saving for another Blobeye STI. Crystal Grey. Widetrack
I was driving down a dual carriageway last year in the fast lane and just ahead I could see this mini brake and swerve erratically in a second or so I was at the same spot and saw a squirrel darting from lane to lane I din't brake or swerve and took out the squirrel at 70MPH. Blammo
Its not fair on the people behind to be doing what she did although I admit it is instinctual to try and avoid hitting animals.
The woman in the mini scowled at me but I couldn't give two hoots.
There is a road near me where sheep escape from the fields into the road.
A few years back 4 people were killed on that road because a guy in a 4x4 swerved to avoid a sheep in the road and drove straight into the path of a car coming the opposite direction. All of the occupants in the car died which included a baby.
**** whatever runs into the road unless its human or will kill me if I hit it.
I hit a rabbit many years ago whilst doing a shade under a 100 on the M6. He was just sat in the carriageway. He literally blew to pieces on impact. And I mean small pieces. Incredible. I am very glad that I didn't have time to react for at that speed it could have been fatal.
Not a mark on the car

WTF
How much damage did that do?
I can imagine the smell to!
Many many years ago, I was driving a 2.8i Toyota Supra.
Got to place of work, parked up etc
Later on I had to go out somewhere, got in car, turned key
Engine laboured heavily while trying to start, I thought nothing about it and continued on trying to turn it over until it fired to life.
Got back to work and though - what the ***** that smell?
Was coming from engine bay, so I opened the bonnet and to my complete disgust there was a severly mangled dead cat around the engine bay.
Must have climbed in for the heat when I parked up at work.

sorry to hear the news about your car Lee you must be gutted.
from your comment about kissing the lampost it sounds as though you personally had a lucky escape though probably does not feel like it at the moment.
hope you get the car fixed soon, as you had it really good before this happened
hopefully see you on the run as soon as
Steve

Have sent a bunny and a couple of birds to their makers.
Something coming the other way so the bunny had to eat sump! Tried to avoid 4 grouse but they were standing spread evening across the road - one of them bought it! Lastly, 4 wee finches flew under my old Prelude - only 3 came out. Spotted it in the radiator fins a few weeks later!
