Hey guys, I tell you what, it's a good job they got him when they did as he was planinng a fresh attack on the US. Just in the nick of time it would seem, praise the Lord

We must also be grateful that the information that led to his capture came from Guantanamo Bay
Convenient that
Yes, to mark the 10th 'anniversary'. ^^^
I just want to see evidence - plus the timeline, if possible - of the killing (however unpalatable). You can't help but be a bit sceptical otherwise...

The Sky News article quite clearly states they have said it apprears to be only at an idea stage and no firm plans were discovered so not like they are tryinbg to look heroes in averting the next major catastrophe.
What did you think they would find on his computer, just pictures of camels and goats?
I wonder where he bought his PC from, hope it wasn't PCWorld

All a bit convenient though don't you think?
Is it really that unlikely that the spirtual leader of AQ, who declared war on the west and their allies and who has an impressive CV of successful offensives against western countries, would have details of planned attacks within his fortified compound in a Pakistani military town? It would have been staggering if they hadn't have found any! Did you know your brother has witnessed, at close quarters, a plane being flown in to a building at a secure location that he can't disclose and that he only mentioned this when asked? Convenient? 'kin 'ell!

Not really bearing in mind if they wanted to make it up they could have been sensationalist about like a 9/11 style attack somewhere.
Derailing some trains killing possibly hundreds is not on the same scale as thousands killed in 9/11. And as said they admitted it seemed only at an idea stage so far.
He would have been plotting something, it's not as though he was retired is it?!

)What I can't stomache is politicians and so called world leaders using the 'war against terror' to further their own ends politically and financially. I'm no paranoid conspiracy theorist but there have been far too may events which are at best suspicious. Dr. Kelly's death, invasion of Iraq, Bush's election victories etc. The lines are becoming very very blurred.
The sciatica is still bad but I'm still muddling along.

(Sorry to hear the back's still playing up, mate, it's a real bugger!!)
Quite sensible, but out of interest, were you aware of Banny's experience of witnessing, at close quarters, a plane crash in to a building at a secure location, the details of which he can't disclose? If you are aware of it, and he has asked the board to take his word for it, you could simply confirm that his claim is true. Why not? You have nothing to lose?

That did make me laugh
I'm glad he is out of the picture, but would have preferred capture and trial. If execution was then the sentence, then so be it.
I think it makes sense that they did kill him, although we will never really know if they actually tried to capture him or not. Upon reflection, they probably did what was best for the US. Agree that releasing the photos is probably not a good idea, but some other form of proof would have been good, (don't ask me what though)
I wonder if this will mean and end to the War though? If so, I will say fair enough. I have always felt that this was the way for the US to deal with OBL, not to launch wars of conquest it seems, killing loads of innocent people, which is what I think OBL wanted them to do. So why do it?
I can't help thinking that this will take the wind out of the sails of Al Quaida though, but we will have to wait and see. I think it will take more attacks on the US for the US public to continue to support a war there too.
If this is the beginning of the end then good.
Regarding the conspiracies, why did OBL stay in the same place for years when he must have realised he was compromised by the capture of KSM? That is odd.
Regarding some of the statements, forget not telling Pak about the raid, the US clearly never told Pak that they knew who OBL's courier was. Didn't they know that for years? They clearly also never told them that they knew about the compound since last August, but then Pak knew anyway no? They must have.
