No way I would pay those rip off prices when I can see it at least as well on the TV.

My finger seriously hovered over the beach volleyball option, but there seemed so many!

Sure there's a member on here that works for the organisation that won the bid to run the 2012 backend systems...

I'm only ribbing Simon - I worked on the bid for one of your competitors who walked away from the final 4. In our eyes the risks of missing the deadline outweighed the rewards.

Was hoping the general apathy in my thread to see who'd applied would be a good indication of the take up!
Gone for:
Opening and closing ceremonies
Athletics
Rowing
Football semis and final
Equestrian

Nasty bill for 4 of us, but can't wait !!!

The sports I actually do, are like watching paint dry if your not competing so I didn't bother. Add to that the hockey matches I want to see are going to be semi or quater final matches, but can't be 100% so again, I didn't bother.

Cant be arsed trekking down to London, whole family in tow, ok would be an experience but I think people really over enthuse about things, like when the BBC talk to anyone after any gig and they give it all "Amazing, best ever, awesome", yawn, and the Olympics will be the same, its just a big sports day !

Will watch some of it on tv if it grabs me but most of the events are fairly tedious anyway as there is a serious lack of engines !

So could see a grands worth of tickets, hotels and trains to watch an hour of something we managed to get tickets for that I wouldn't bother watching on telly anyway not to mention the time off work and logistics.

Seems like straightforward commonsense to me.
