Lord Coe was on BBC news earlier and was very firm about not going into details of ticket sales.

I wonder if they really had that many sales they had to have this odd lottery system to get the choice events.

BMX and water rapid thingy would be good to watch.

Nope!*

Disgusting, exploiting the tax payers of this country.

Rip prices in rip off Britain.

This country is going to the dogs and the Olympics will just race us there faster.**

*Of course I have!

**Just trying on a Scoobynet persona - did you see through the camouflage?

Yes.

Hoping to get some tickets for the cycling and the swimming.

...and the more of you northern monkeys that abstain, the better chance I have of getting the tickets I want.

Just decided to try for some at Coventry Stadium football, my daughter wants to go so I said we would take a look and it saves going down to the mass depression and staying over...

Like it.

We've applied - Sprint Cycling finals day.

I think it would be a great shame if we (as in me/my family) didn't do what we can to get tickets - it could be the only chance my kids get to see the Olympics in their own country in their own lifetime.

I can understand the sentiments of some people believing it to be a waste of money - especially with the economy as it is - but FFs, lets get behind our athletes and give them some support.

Would be a travesty if we had half empty stadia.

Rule Britannia.

Just applied.

100m final and the swimming.

I cannot believe that as the boss (owner) of my company is a member of the IOC, we cannot get in for cheap (free).

Have had some mixed feelings due to the taxes situation, but will be glad to be able to say, in future, that I was there.

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I hope I get it.

I barely even bothered switching on the TV for the last Olympics, so hardly likely to cough up cash to go and see any of it live.

It is a "once in a lifetime experience" on our door steps and so I have applied for 2 x 100M tickets at £750 a piece.

I really hope you're joking?

Why does it take weeks to decide who has got what tickets when, for example, the Euro Lottery can identify winners overnight? Isn't it just down to some decent software?

We put in for track cycling, swimming and rowing at the weekend. I would agree that the chance to see the Olympics "at home" is a once in lifetime chance

Aye, the World Cup and Revolution series at Manchester are very good events. We went to the Revolution meet which was Chris Hoy's first race post Beijing Olympics - the reception he got was superb
