Well i picked up my STI hawk on saturday, was running late for the meet when i saw all the scoobys spinning round at basildon junction so i jumped off and jumped into the middle of everyone. Gota say it felt "THE BOLLOCKS" being in the middle of so many scoobies. Didnt stay in southend too long though didnt really know anyone too much, did stop and have a chat with a fellow whos in the middle of running in his "450hp" classic.
A great day out was spoilt around 2am on my way home from walthamstow after dropping my pal off. Some silly old man in his rolls royce decided he would cut across into my lane at gants hill roundabout taking the drivers rear wheel arch with him
Total damage resulting in a large scrape along passenger door right to the back of the bumper (pulling the bumper away from the mounts). And the wheel arch trim requires replacing. Luckily he didnt damage my alloy as all four were refurbished around 600 miles ago.
Anywho, as the "silly old man" is adament that although he cut into my lane it was my fault, my friend just so happens to work in CCTV and he can get me a copy of the incident to pass forward to insurance. Took the car to subaru today for an estimate of repairs and i have informed them that "no expence must be spared".
Hopefully that'll teach him to use mirrors and more importantly sense.
Apart from that im loving the car and look forward to maybe arriving earlier to events and meet a few people before hand.

Hi,
I was coming from romford around 8pm when i just got upto the basildon turn off and saw everyone coming the other way to turn round and head up to southend. So i was amogst everyone for the underpass. I think i ended up around 4/5th from the front anyway.
Well he was actually staying round his girlfriends near lea bridge road roundabout. Im not too sure exactly.
Yes unfortunately i was caught by the lights "on" the roundabout so at the time of impact i was only doing around 10-15mph. Yet my car seems to suffered, and "the tank" didnt have a single scratch.
I know what you mean though. I drive it everyday as i work in london and can garantee it happens at least 2/3 times infront of me a week. Its where theyve added extra lanes people still havent gotton used to it and still think its ok to use 2 or more.

What a terrible shame your first night out in the car had to end in such a way You've been very restrained and polite under the circumstances! Hope your mate comes up trumps with the CCTV and you get a good result with the insurance and your car restored
