When it was good, and believe me, it was f*****g GOOD! there was no committee, no ONE in charge, and bugger all admin. If you wanted to do something you posted it on here, and if people were interested they turned up. As a certain meerkat would say, Simples!
Some of the best runs I ever went on were organised 1 hour before departure (First ever WYIOC Winter Wonderland) or weren't organised at all, things just kinda 'happened'
Sadly, it would appear that those days are long gone. Too much politics and falling out.
I do still have the Scoob, though it's currently SORNed after it was shagged by a 'mate' whilst on loan.
