Oh, the yellow ones. They are to be avoided at all costs. The silver ones are great though.

M3/RS4 for the money if you can find decent examples

Or how about 1 of the VAG hot hatches, 350hp tune, sh*t off a shovel. Golf Ed 30, S3 or Leon Cupra?
you think a 400bhp focus is slow but sugest a 350bhp golf, leon,

i am actually swaying towards an e92 335i now as they look nice and can get some proper power with a map but as they are still pretty pricey in M Sport spec i might have to look for a well specced SE.I've looked at a few golf and such like tonigh but they really don't do it for me

Id go for a S4 over a 335 .

07 plate in auto trader £18k low miles fully loaded, 350 bhp standard, and sounds nicer than a oil burner

Don't worry Alan an oil burner is very much a second choice and very unlikely and i don't want another V8 as i am not keen on 20 mpg again for the moment as i have a few more important things to spend my money on rather than fuel every other day,and i would always feel a little inferior in any audi other than an RS (excluding TT) now ive had one

I know what you are saying but it is well laid out even if it is totally bland but the car i get will have to have i-drive as it spices up the interior a great deal (even if it does encounter issues from time to time) and it looks so much more up to date than the e39's

Might just get a C4S

Using the MLR 30-130 results for reference, the lower powered VAG hatches were quicker than the Focus RS's. The Mk1 FRS was on a par with the S3, but still behind the DSG Golf. The Mk2 cars posted poor results which was very surprising...

Perhaps there was something up with the pair of them, superchips map not performing perhaps? I would have expected the pair of them to be posting 16-17s with 400hp. I wouldn't say they were slow cars, far from it, 400hp through the fronts is always going to be quick when it gets traction, it's just the times posted above are poor, very poor, the lighter Mk1 with less power seems to fare well though, just pips the 370hp S3

Either they were not 400bhp or they were driving like miss daisy. There's a 295bhp focus st in that list running a quicker 30-130!

I've driven a mk2 frs and they feel pretty quick, much faster than I thought they would be (usual hype etc) and they are quite funky with the sound they make.

Think I'd rather have an e92 335 though, they've gotta fly with a remap.

More like the claimed 400 hp is just that.

A Monaro with a bit of coin put into it would make an awesome car IMHO.

That list is only impressive in the number of slow Audis that are present. Clearly the owners are deluded about their power.

The Focus RS Mk 2 are awful on that list. It feels a nice car to drive, I wouldn't have guessed that the stock car is that slow to be honest, and these ones are supposedly tuned.

My car is insane to 100 John then slows right down + when I change to 5th it gets slower still I'm guessing that the RS's are also quick to 100 & just slow after that.

That's normal in any cars as you shift to taller gears; the torque sent to the wheels gets less.

Generic chips? That to me is a warning right way. I'd never put a generic chip/tune/map in my car and expect optimum performance.
