Come on mods do your job or maybe your having a laugh at all the usual/obvious replies from the mother and farther types.
Now listen ere son when i were a lad it were tuppence hapenny to insure a horse and cart and i had two horses but told em it were a donkey and it only cost a penny...

get something else, i had so many cars when i was growing up, (still am at 38 lol) why spend loads on insurance, modify a slow car to go a bit faster when u could buy a nippier little car, cheaper on fuel/ insurance/tax etc and wait a bit. u'll have more fun that way!

i'd personally avoid Impreza's until your older, i've been waiting 8 years to get one, and now i have, it was worth the wait, in the mean time, something smaller, like a Saxo VTR or 106GTi, will keep you smiling everytime you take it out.

hey,

Im 22 and iv just bought a 53 plate GX Sport. Dont let anyone tell you differently, they are awesome to drive. They stick to the road will do 0-60 in under 10secs and have a bit of a roar to them. My insurance with 5 years no claims was just over £600. Iv looked at Type r's and it costs me over £2000 even now. Whats the point?? I had a little 900cc for my first car. And as long as YOU enjoy it why bother worrying about other people?? I have my subaru now and it wont get changed until im 25/26 when i can afford to buy a wrx or an evo 300/360. I know thats swearing on here :P Just be sensible

I have to say im 19, i have a 56 plate r sport, they pull out 160bhp which for my age is not bad, i have put a performance air filter in and looking at an exhaust, i worked out i could get the car to 200bhp but as all the older guys on here say i have found that actually put the money into a STI fund as your looking at 315 for cat back from cobra, de cat and pre cat will come to 400+ depending on who from, you can remap the ecu on them... but small power gains and still 200+ so your looking at nearly 1k just to get that 200bhp... now the good thing about the wrx/sti's is that they are not really any different on price compared to the non turbo'd scoobys, so you could save for your STI for 3 years or until the insurance for an STI is reasonable... you'd still only be 22! and have a nice bit of spare money to play and sell your scooby and get the same age sti version! thats my plan as found that they are awesome all round cars... fast toys, still family size cars, dont look like a "boy racer" as you have a proper sports car... and many more! Hope this helps mate.

hi i have a subaru gx and seems to be really slow and wen i reverse its an effort and wen i stop reversing the car stops dead and stiff.? i have 1 notion that these are 4 wheel drive. and maybe only driving in 2 wheel yeh! do you reckon this may be the problem cos its an effort for a 2ltr engine?

Hill start assist on the clutch makes the car feel like the brakes are sticking when in reverse as you never really have the clutch fully depressed
