This is off a subaru technical document:-
Headlight performance has been dramatically improved. On
the WRX and STi HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon selflevelling
lights are used with 60W halogen high beam and a
35W HID low beam unit with a high-pressure pop up headlight
washer. Headlight washers are required on all vehicles fitted
with HID lighting systems to minimise light beam refraction
and hence the tendency to dazzle oncoming drivers. On other
models ‘Projector’ 55W low beams and 60W halogen high
beams are used.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

Think I'm gonna stay off the rally gfx, I think it's too much, look pretty chavvy too. The more I look at it.. the less I want to change it too much.

Real shame about the Xenon's.. I guess I could get some fitted if I really do miss them.. I just find em a lot easier to drive with really.

Yours looks incredible, Imprezajon, thank you for posting pictures! Given me some real inspiration.

I think gold wheels are a must have for me, so they'll be coming eventually. And a bonnet scoop is entriely dependant on how much it will raise my insurance. We'll have to see.

Nice car...I'm actually looking to sell my R Sport at the moment. Out of interest, how much were you able to buy for? Subaru's with or without turbo are fantastic cars, this model offers alot of the joy of driving a WRX does, just without the turbo (in my opinion)....plus our model turns just as many heads! It's not just speed Imprezas offer in abundance but as we all know the handling, feel of them etc etc is amazing too!

I could never find somewhere that supplies bonnet with integrated scoop so would be interesting to see if you find one, but to be honest, I think the R Sport looks great just the way it is!

It's finally arrived! And I've sat in it.. turned it on.. looked around it.. sat in it again for a few more hours.. looked around again. More than ever I can see why Subaru's are special cars!

Obviously now, I'm dead keen to drive it. Been looking at insurance for right now.. 4.5k is the cheapest I've found. (OUCH.) And obviously really not worth going for. I've been told to speak to A-Plan, Sky and Keith Michaels, so I'll try tomorrow. Don't hold out too much help, anyone got any other suggestions? Already posted it on the Insurance forum though.

Also, it does have Xenon's, tested em and they look the business, I thought they might just be.. y'know.. blue tinted lights but they do that Xenon flicker when they come on and it has light washers. Noticed in the Impreza '06 brochure it says they're an option.. either way, incredibly chuffed .
