Nice!

I'd love a Wild One. A friend of mine had one back in the day, remember taking it down the beach. It used to live in their utility room and he wasn't allowed it unless his dad was about. I used to go and stare at it lol.

Something about the tamiya rc cars back in the 80's, just seeing the boxes in the shop was amazing.

I had the original Hot shot, then a hornet, lunch box and Porsche 959.

I wish I still had the 959!

I've got a HPI true ten Datsun 240z, might get pics later.

One of my favourite cars was the tamiya Porsche 911 gt2 Taisan.

I think if the licensing is still good with Tamiya and Porsche then the appearance of a re release 959 is quite high. There was a Japanese article with some dude high up in Tamiya and he was holding a 959 which started the rumour mill.

I definately want a Wild One. Its not hugely expensive so was thinking of getting 2. One to build and one to store. I have a re-re Avante stored in the loft too. I built the black special which has already stopped production so from a future classic/worth point of view I probably built the wrong one

This might amuse some

Avante 2001 build circa 1991

Avante Black Special build circa 2012

Nooooo, they can't redo the 959 cos I will have to buy one then! If they are true to the original chassis that would be amazing! Would be good to see how modern technology fairs with making the body, my rep body is good but is a bit flat around the rear lower bumper section where they struggle to get the shape with vac forming. The original body is so detailed but very thin and weak due to being blow moulded.
Here's my latest toy, the Hyper 7 that was scheduled for a brushless conversion got sold and the new electric parts put into this - proper electric based chassis - Hyper 9e, with lots of high end parts as standard. Shame it keeps ripping its tyres off, it's running 4s though so its a bit mad

Nice.

I have to be honest though, 1/8 without an engine isn't really my thing. I know they can be moody dirty smelly and draw sour looks by just about everyone on the playing fields but they sound so cool.

I've got a Durango 408 although it hasn't got an engine or electrics right now.

One thing I did do recently which is a great mod is to convert my KO Esprit 2 to 2.4Ghz. Sorry about pic quality.

The 2.4GHz kit is only £15 and the receiver is about the same. KO tranny just feels great. I've got a Spektrum DX6i for my crawler but its too chunky to race with. Considering the Esprit 3 2.4Ghz is like £150 easy 2nd hand this is a great alternative.

Like the pics.

My fav bit was building the chassis, rather do that than actually use them.

It was hard selling the nitro hyper but I decided there wasn't much point keeping it as I hardly used it, I have used this one more in the last few months although I did wear out the front tyres after putting 1 pack through it on a mixed surface I've swapped out the centre diff oil now though for some thicker stuff which helps stop all the power going through the rear wheels and ballooning up the fronts.
Dunno what's next, I may sell a couple of the older ones like the HPI Rally and nitro Impreza and look for something else, quite fancy a 2wd 1:10th buggy?

The way the weather has been thats pretty much all I've done this summer. The three shelfers I've got may see some dirt in the future but not much.

I'm also planning a new build Top Force. Pretty much everything you need is on ebay but only buying one or two parts a month until I've got everything I need.

My mate got a Top Force Evolution back in the 90's, sure I remember the thing costing about £600 with the radio gear/motor/couple of batteries! I might see if he still has it, was a really nice looking buggy and was rapid!

If he has its worth a few bob.

You see them for silly money Buy It Now - along with Egress. When they are on auction they fetch upto about £300+ for minty mint. My original Egress went for about £230 odd and it wasn't mint. The green Egress cost me about £350 but would probably sell for less as its not original.

Last week whilst round my Mums doing some its for her something inside me thought about my RC cars? Getting to them wasn't easy at all as they are in my Mums workstore garage. My little lad was eager to see them too so once I got to them it was like feeling like a kid again.

They had all been sat still for almost 9 years. Dusted off a few areas, used a little GT85 on a few bits.

Charged batteries and bobs your uncle.

Had my Schumacher Big 6 Elise running and managed to get my FG Porsche 996 GT3RS running!! I of course had to add some fuel (Momentum / Yesco 99) with oil but after 4 pulls on the cord she started. Even the batteries on the controllers hadn't leaked and had life left on them , bloody amazed.

I've got another FG Porsche (993 GT2) I need to start up but cannot get to it at the moment.

Fairly impressive to have some FGs just knocking about. Some of them can look amazing with the brake discs and alloy suspension etc.

On a plane from Hong Kong I have the following on the way

I'm going to give TC racing a bash over the winter and wanted to buy cheap but new.

And this F1

Both cars to the door for £160.

Anyone tried one of these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XSTR-Fast-...ht_7952wt_1002

Doesn't look too bad for the cash.
I used to have a 7.2v offroad rc car when I was a kid. Was brilliant until I drove it into the pond. Doh!

Thinking of getting one for me and my son to mess about with, although he is only 15 months old at the moment. I'm sure he would crack up just watching it!

Not the best of pics sadly. Still need to dig the car out at some point.

Silver one in Roock Racing Colours with custom /replica GT2 1998/1999 aero rear ring. Took me ages to make.

White Bodyshell used for when I went over to a local carpark etc.

Hi friends
Yeah the older cars are getting pretty sought after now, bet you will get a good price for it, looks in very good condition and an ideal restoration car.

bt has the benifit of running on 2 stroke, so normal fuel with oil mix, (same as a strimmer/chainsaw engine)

Guys,

Anyone on here got a Schumacher Big 6 EP?

I'm letting my son have the one at my Mums and I just got my hands on another Big 6 from eBay that needed a little TLC.

I'm thinking about making a rear diffuser and intakes for another shell I have that is unpainted etc.

These are quite sort after nowadays. They don't quite have the £££ factor of some 1/10 buggies of that era (YZ10, CAT) but there are collectable.

I have this bad boy on its way for China

Always wanted one. I just have a Tamiya Wild One to buy and I think I'm done, maybe.
