Simtek will require a charge temp sensor which is not expensive, for your power level I would go for the apexi but if you're the type that wants more after a week then the simtek is a better long term proposition.

Tbh banny i think id be happy with the power for a while as i dont use it as much as i used to. but its the 2 maps what would be great. with the price of fuel going up more & more i want an ecomnomical map and a power map.

Id also like to monitor things which is where the apexi come into it, is 2 maps not availible on them?

thanks again

ive got the apexi + commander and think its a great bit of kit,the previous owner had it fitted and mapped by JGM who also mapped it to pop and bang....sounds just like anti-lag.he even wired it into the A/C button to cut the banging if the rozzers are behind
ive had the car 3 months and only just realised it had 4 boost settings and been on the tame setting! now its on no.4 at 1.35bar....different car now

I would buy a LINK ECU. Great value for your money. Very easy to map

I'm breaking my v4 and have a simtec coming off with L/C and A/L
i've had both apexi and simtec and like the commander with apexi but preferred the simtec overall

yea was refering to a standard clutch, a proper twin-plate +flywheel = 1200/1400 odd +fitting? Thats more than the cost of the simtec + map + AL/LC option the Op was considering for a clutch ! and not needed on a car with circa 300bhp.
