HE may not, but someone will.

Are you REALLY willing to risk a £1000 fine for this? Look how easily the goivernment extract money from motorists? Now think what they could do to YOU!

That is correct Alcazar. I merely knock on your door and ask.. then place a 'x' or an 'R' in the appropriate column. You will then get another visit from an enforcement officer and his go-for.

And if the door you're knocking on is not opened?

I am not being negative. My number is Ex Directory, so I am not going to put it on the form. My mobile is for the very select few
Who stays at my home, is my business and is totally irrelevant to the head count, which is the whole purpose of the census.
The rest of the form does not bother me and will be completed

The guy from the council knocked asking me to sign for receipt of an electoral register but I told him that I wasn't giving my signature to some stranger who has my name & address! He told me that failure to sign could end up with me getting a visit from the police, I told him to go ahead, i said "you know where I live"!!
Never heard owt back from them.
Wether it's lawful or not I don't give a damn & it's no-ones business whose staying at me hoose or how much I earn or any of the other intrusive q's.

How can you stop all the census info getting in to the public domain? I'm ok to fill it in, just not with any old nonce having access to my personal data

Exactly what data do you not want in the PD?

Are you aware that when the form arrives at Census HQ, it is OPENED by a machine, READ by a machine and turned into statistics by another machine?

At no time can anyone access YOUR data unless you commit a criminal act and it will help with your prosecution, AND they can show there is no other way to go after you.

Otherwise, the data is stored as statistics and they can only access it in the form of, "How many men aged between 21 and 50 live in area XXXXXXX?"

Er, the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, Section 39 (that Bliar slipped in when nobody was looking) allows quite a lot of people access to your census data!!!!

4) Subsection (1) does not apply to a disclosure which—

(a) is required or permitted by any enactment,

(b) is required by a Community obligation,

(c) is necessary for the purpose of enabling or assisting the Board to exercise any of its functions,

(d) has already lawfully been made available to the public,

(e) is made in pursuance of an order of a court,

(f) is made for the purposes of a criminal investigation or criminal proceedings (whether or not in the United Kingdom),

(g) is made, in the interests of national security, to an Intelligence Service,

(h) is made with the consent of the person to whom it relates, or

(i) is made to an approved researcher.

There really is no way around it.
After the 6th of next month the Enforcement Teams will be deployed. They will visit and take statements from you, which will result in a £1000 fine .

Do it online, much easier.

It's not mate. The personal stuff is sealed for 100 years and will be put on line in 2111 for you great great grandkids to look at where you lived and what you did.

I've seen my grandfather in the 1911 one, just before he was maried.

What? They are spending £480 million NOW to recoup a bit in 2111? Can you see how daft that idea is?

I'm sure that the Eu commissioners will find the info' very useful when it comes to them working out how much special EU tax to charge us!

Interestingly your data can still be accessed by request by Intelligence services in UK and abroad under various bits of terrorism legislation. The data has apparently been protected from requests under the patriot act but how well is hard to decipher.

Don't worry, the only people who will get fined will be those who flat refuse to do it.

Doing it online is easy, don't forget to click submit.
