Hey guys, we had our first EA meet today and as you can guess fuel prices came up once or twice. As I said to one of the guys short term the increases are down too the middle east protests and who can be-grudge them trying to better their lot? I know I would rather pay a few quid extra per fill up at the moment and let them better their lot!
The Libiyans risk being shot in the street for a little bit of freedom so I cant really complain about paying 2 or 3 pence more a litre in the short term! They have to worry about there next meal not wether they can fill up a 200+bhp car! Please remember that! On the other hand I'm a HGV driver so I am worried about where it will all end!
Going to be a really different world that our children inheret thats for sure!

i can remember a few years back, evryone moaning, all over the news about petrol reaching £1 a litre.
and here we are a few years later at about £1.30 a litre.
we will moan, no one will listen, and we'll pay £2 a litre, cuz lets face it, wot choice do we have?
i aint walkin, i aint takin public transport, if god wanted me to take public transport, then he woulda made me be born in a communist country or sumink :|

I never understand why when the oil price drives the price up everyone blames the government yet they were paying the same duty when it was 30p less a litre (well excepting the additional penny they levied recently) and yet no one said anything then.

Paid £1.38 a litre tonight, first time Ive actually bothered to look at the price as it just irritates me when I do, so I usually fill up without looking!
At £1.38 a litre, I felt like I'd been bummed by a large penised man

The percentage that is tax is actually going down pretty sharply as duty is a fixed rate not a percentage. It is the oil price that has caused most of the recent rises.

Makes me laugh when it's all over the news for a week about it going up 2p a litre! It goes up and down, mostly up, pretty much every week, noone says a word.

Time to get mi self and old deisel runabout and fill it with red deisel like i use to do,To many people in this country with to much money who dont give a toss about the price of anything or how much it rises,it doesnt bother them and they dont care about the working man and his family who it does affect.Shame the british arnt like the french, they wouldnt allow this to happen in there country and they stand together as equals, not like this dump.

How this directly affects us - My partner works in MK and lives in Northampton. around this time last year it cost around 150.00 per month for work fuel. Now it is around 230-250 per month. no pay rise last year so we are 1000.00 worse off a year just to put fuel in the car just to go to work. Parking has also gone up as well.
we run a 2.0l Honda, not a scoob!
