the third ipad comes out in september, would i buy this new ipad, definatley not. still no usb port, no expandable memory, 0.7mp camera is hardly worth noting as a camera and it is going to be too expensive when you could wait a few months and get the real game changer if whats talked about is going to be put in the ipad3.

I'm not convinced yet - it's a lovely toy but colleagues who've bought them have either abandoned them (variously either not using them any more or getting frustrated with them crashing / ****e software for work etc) or they're still manfully trying to use them in meetings etc but really just secretly playing games on them on the train. I was hugely entertained this week by the colleague who tried to do a swot chart live on one in a meeting - I'd drawn it by hand, scanned it in the adjoining room and mailed it round complete before he'd even accepted failure at trying to find a way to do it. Bless.

As others have said - no usb, no flash, can't do multi applications yet etc etc. What's it for?

I hear there will be something more interesting coming from Apple at the end of the year. Not an iPad, but an Apple tablet running Lion. Sounds exciting and could be the tablet device I've been waiting for.

It's the other way round, Lion has a very iOS like layer, coupled with a Magic Trackpad this should be a very nice experience.
