I snuck out from work today...
It's a lovely thought isn't it: a whole year in a 997 Gt2RS for free.
Reckon you would have to take some brave pills in the short term though: 997 GT2's have already lost around 35% in 2 years, with a production run of less than 2000. Still, those two magic RS letters still seem to sprinkle the gold dust onto whatever they are bolted on, whether it's on a Porker or a Sierra.
Would be a shame too if they were bought just for speculation rather than the intended purpose: pure driving. Sadly, a lot are.
PS Beautiful car Trouty
Glad to hear that it will be used, and not polished.

There was a 993 GT2 for sale at Oulton at the weekend.
Yours for only £245,000.
At the moment there's also a yellow 993 turbo s for sale for £114,000.
5 years ago that GT2 was probably about £80k.

Demand outstrips supply = Second hand values soar.
They might fall a little once Porsche start building the GT3 RS 4.0.

I can just invisage him cruising up the motorway at 70, up and down the 'box, left foot dabbing the brakes to bed the pads in!
If I decided to "invest" in one, something awful would happen (e.g. some safety scare or something) and prices would plummet. I can do the same "trick" with weather and surf abroad too - want cr4p surf in Oz for five weeks? Ask me to visit. Want snow in the middle of SUMMER in NZ? Again ask me.

Thanks
It is not as raw as the 996 GT3 and so in some ways loses out there.
But in other ways it more than makes up for it - one of the greatest chassis's I have ever driven. No, the greatest chassis. It is brilliant. Covers the ground so easily - I cannot wait to get it on track.

Haven't posted here for a while but following your advice on PH to lighten up, I thought of no better place to do so.
Stunning car - enjoy!
I loved my 997t, albeit a different breed.
Steve.
