drop links

I've just e-mailed townend for a price incl delivery. I agree some of the american stuff looks stronger but as has been said already the OEM ones are plastic anyway.
I can't believe I've managed to get this many replies to a thread in "suspension"

Obviously there's a lot of interest in drop liks then.
A cheap (if you go MRT route) and easy handling mod.
The MRT ones must do a decent job otherwise they wouldn't get recommended.
Let us know how your get on if you go the MRT route.
Do Powerflex bushes fit in them?

Had some MRT front droplinks fitted by Regal in Southampton at the same time as powerflex rear droplink bushes (in standard plastic links!) and all rollbar bushes . This combination tightened up the already great handling. I would recommend the MRT (UGLYISH) Links if only because the price is good and once fitted you dont see them anyway!
Regal sourced the links from Town End Garage

Correct me if I am wrong but the MRT bars and links look remarkably similar to the Whiteline stuff which I have on my car, I suspect they are just re badged. Got all mine from Powerstation.

I have spoken to Simon at Town End Garage, and they would be prepared to consider discount for a group buy, depending on numbers. They currently have front drop links in stock, but no rears until Tuesday next week. How many people are interested in getting some?

I'll defo have a rear set. Don't think I'll have a front set cons I'm still convinced my poor 93WRX don't have any !
I'm off to have another look now I'm sure I didn't see any when I manually replaced the hub 2 months ago. And what a mare that was I tell ya.

OK necromax, you were right and I was wrong My old old 93 does have a front set of front links, just didn't recognise them like cos I thought they'd look similar to the rears doh !
Anyway, depending on the price of fronts, I'll have a set of those as well.
But at the moment I can only confirm 100% that I want the rears

Please bear in mind that anti-roll bars (or sway bars ) vary in size between model years and normally aspirated cars.
The MRT catalogue (ordered using their robot) tells you the dimensions of the various sway bars to allow you to check fitment.
I wouldn't want you to order a lot of parts that don't fit !
Thanks
Gavin

Rev-Labs have come back to me with $100 a pair for the rears.
It appears the prices on their web site are an introductory offer anyway.
Might get some, just to be different..................

Hi to you all,
I would just like to take this opportunity to bring you all up to date with whats in stock and what we have due to come in. We currently have 5 sets of front drop links, 2 front 22mm sway bars, 3 rear adjustable sway bars, 4 sets anti-lift kits. The rear sway bars are on their way, but they are sending a heap of gearboxes on Monday which is our Sunday night so all of you wanting to buy please let me know - I will add it to the gearbox order to save on the freight costs and the parts should arrive - Thursday, Friday at the latest.
Thanks for the interest,
Stuart.

Just to add my two pennies worth; I had front and rear MRT/Whiteline drop links fitted a few months ago as well as the Anti Lift Kit. Even in my ham-fisted hands the car does handle a lot better (subjective I know but it does!) and I would highly recommend this kit.
I had it all fitted by those nice folk at PowerStation. Once you fit the stuff it's good to get your geometry checked again and PS do this very nicely thank you.
No connection etc etc just think they're a good outfit
Sway bars next.........
PS. Just to be fair I'm sure TownEnd would just as nice a job however I've never had the pleasure

Sorry guys, no pretty pictures, but we routinely keep the Whiteline ALK's and Drop links front and rear in stock and have done for nearly 3 years now.
We're always looking at other options, but for the money if they do the same thing then that is usually good enough.
Remember, if you have a Jap WRX/STi, that you don't need stiffer front links!
Mike.

I have received notification from Stuart Newby (Town End Garage Ltd) that he is happy to offer Scoobynet users a 10% discount on the links, anti lift kit, sway bars etc that he has illustrated above. Rather than go down the group buy route you can contact him directly.
