Ive been flashed by a forward facing camera and it did flash scared life out of me as was just going dark and was on brow of a hill aswel. this was 5 years ago now.
Well yeah it will but if it`s on the opposite side of the road then it`s not as bad
Because gatso's can have their facing direction changed, it can still be on the same side as oncoming traffic and opposite side to the direction it is monitoring.
I think they don't give a **** about safety of the cameras, only money. The main difference is that truvelos use piezo wire triggers in the road and gatsos use radar.
Hmmmm, not happy... I was flashed by a gatso doing 35 in a 30 this morning, but I was travelling towards it. I didn't think that usually happened, I thought you had to be travelling away from the camera for it to get you.
Anyone had any experience of this? Was definitely a gatso as it had the rectangular lens cover and had lots of calibration lines on the road.
Sounds like you'll be ok by the way you've described the camera.
I have one that I pass everyday which I set off now and again (especially when I'm in the work van ). Theres no lines on the side of the road going towards it...........There is going away from it though.
