Trams - what?!
This country had both trams and trolley buses in the days when comparatively few people could afford to run a car.
They were a particularly good method of reliable and cheap transport. They gradually went out of favour as more cars appeared on the roads. Cars are of course far more personally convenient but public transport has gone down the tubes so that if you want to get anywhere, you have to have a car. 3 Jags did not get very far with his promise to reduce the amount of traffic and to improve public transport.
It is a toss up which is better, easy and cheap public transport. or crowded roads with traffic jams and nowhere to park!
