ever see a documentary on the armenians in southern russia ? Fairly sure it was that country.

they take "grabbing" to another level.

they drive down a street and physically kidnap their women. hold them hostage till the families sort it out and agree the marriage.

the women has no say whatsoever in it.

very gypsy esque in its manner.

incidentally, whilst I am no fan of gypsies: I have been in a few of their caravans/homes over the yrs and you will not find a cleaner place. Calling them filthy isn't true.

trust me, you should see how the white trash live on council estates, or inner city asian areas.

what they leave behind: yes of course.

I have to agree austin. The ex's mum never had a thing out of place or any dust gathering in the house. Very clean and tidy.

filthy is not just confined to the caravan, i find the amount of rubbish they leave to be filthy sh*tting wherever you like and leaving it for others to clear up is also filthy!

People have to clear up after their dogs and do do so in most cases yet p1kes can **** where they like and not face a fine

white trash, etc aside - two wrongs do not make a right or make it acceptable either.

I work next to a chinese restaurant and a Discovery turned up packed to the gills with gypsies. They ate their food and dumped the trays and pop bottles all over the floor.

Yet they keep their own belongings spotless?

To me thats nothing more than taking the pi55.

There certainly are non-gypsies that live like animals, I've yet to see a gypsy actually put anything in the bin.

They are also clearly able to show respect for each other yet see the rest of us as fair game for scams and ripp offs. Again, just a complete pi55 take.

It isn't a case of not liking them, it isnt hatred it is just a feeling that they live up to their reputation and dont do themselves any favours, there is decency in any society but they do
tend to look after themselves and expect everyone else to sponsor and support their lifestyle, then reward whatever support they get by leaving a mess for others to clean up.

My dad had them in the unit next door, utter mess left, ten grand to put right.

Locally some moved in, left a mess, including three dogs they tied up when they left expecting someone else to find them (or not) and take care of, someone did find them but by then they had died of thirst.

My wife used to work in a wedding dress shop, they used to come in and basically steal the dress by intimidation and paying a nominal sum, smoking whilst trying them on and generally being obnoxious.

I am all for giving people a chance but to be honest, when there is travellers/Gypsies or whatever involved I dont have neough time, money or patience to bother. You never hear any positive stories about them being fair to deal with or what a good job they did of my driveway but I am open to hear some.

It's unreal. No taxes, no vat, no council tax, loads of cash.
How the hell do they do it. Is everyone in authority scared of them. Is the tax man not keen on entering their domain to demand his wedge.
They really are ghastly people.

I cannot think of them as anything other than chavs ................... they do not come out well from this program, do they?

They are simply too thick to see that they are showing themselves up .... and quite why the women are so submissive.

50% die before they are 50!! There IS a god after all - it's all the inbreeding genes which kill them off ...

Anyone wonder if there is some secret top-ranking gypsys who possibly acquire large wads of cash illegally and pass it down through the ranks?

I have to admit to enjoying the programme, just to see how the other half live. They are dire.
That bloke who runs the park, Paddy, admitted to no skills whatsoever, yet made good cash from laying drives. Who is stupid enough to pay him to do so. They must be taking vulnerable people and that is so wrong.
They make out they have such high morals, yet think nothing of ripping everyone off. Yuck, common as muck, the lot of them

I actually liked that Patrick dude - clearly someone you'd want "on side"

When they went furniture shopping - I bet the guys heart sank to his boots when he realised they were gypsies.

Wife has a hair salon and although its not happened to her she knows of other salons where the gypsies have hidden who they are or put on an accent and then they all turn up en mass, take over, take the pi55 and then either refuse to pay or pay bugger all - if you complain or stop them coming in you may as well be taking a baseball bat to the shop yourself because if you don't - they will.

Again - they know respect yet afford "country folk" none.

I think the guy with the furniture shop purposely sold such horrible tat because he was near to a travellers site.

Made me laugh actually, because there is a similar Asian shop here in Bradford selling such garish tat to I assume the Asian community. everytime we drive past it, we're normally in tears with just how "del boy" their shop windows are.

That fight though was cr@p.

They stated there were rules to Gypsy fighting, just as one of them took a sneeky punch before the fight had officialy started.

Even I could fight better than those 2 numpties.

They talk about respect and end up having a full scale party in a graveyard, with their cans of fosters lager strewn all over the place. Sitting on peoples graves etc

I would like to suggest a new show and one i think most people will enjoy - it will not be a long show i guess approx 15 seconds or so duration dependant on the fuse.

It will be called: Their fat chavvy p1key wedding meets my WW2 hand grenade!

I thought the sentiment was nice, as was showing his son his new 'toy', but they seem to have no consideration or thought for the others who may have been in the graveyard at the same time.

good article on bbc news today about a graveyard dubbed "poundland" because of all the tat strewn over it: wind chimes and so on.

staggeringly bad taste.

I know what yr saying re: patrick's son's graveyard: but the bloke had lost 5 children.

irrespective of the gypsy side: to loose 5 children. That's some heartache in yr life to deal with.

yes it'd be bloody awful in the graveyard: but to some degree we don't celebrate the dead's lives.

I was in Antigua a few years ago and drove past a graveyard.

people had electric pedestal fans set up, on massive extension leads, "cooling" their lost ones in the summer sun.

truely mental and no sense to it: but what a nice sight.

<Anorak on> Those wheels on the new A5 cab looked like they were off a 350z.
Then later on they changed to standard Audi OEMs <Anorak off>
