Had a problem with mine a couple of months ago, the dreaded engine management light came on.... I got Adam at Autotecnica in Buxton to sort it out and it was the (TGV) Tumble Generator Valve Actuator had stuck. Quick replacement and back to normal again.
Thanks again Adam, bob on service as usual.

I am swapping it for my 58 plate Leon Cupra with 33k on the clock which is worth £10-£10.5k

Values are all over the place at the moment, there are dealers trying to sell Spec-d's for £12,500 and private for £8,500 so it seems like the right price given the condition and mileage.

Default Hey I Have one

Hey there I see your looking for Spec D owners!!
I Have an 06 Spec D PPP Stealth.....
So Instead of it being rare it is really rare as only
100 of 300 went to Prodrive!!!
I Have no Idea on how to upload photos on here tho....
I Have a friend in Wales who also owns a Spec D PPP Stealth...

Sounds like a nice car

I'll have a look back through the thread later and do a count and see how many we have on here.
Yes, a meet would be great but It would be so tricky to organise as we are dotted all over the country

Not heard of a PPP stealth, but I believe mine was supplied by prodrive with its PPP, so does that mean mine is a 'stealth' too...

Can anyone shed any more light on this

Default +1 more Spec-D

Finally took the time to find this thread! Was getting worried for a moment that there wasn't a proper Spec-D following!

Add one more to the Spec-D bunch. Reg date 15/03/06 (low tax baby yeah! ).

Just changed the gold wheels that came on it when i bought it for silver ones so I'm back to the stock look now which is why i wanted it.

They are properly thin on the ground though. I went and saw one in Southampton, (nice car but new brakes, clutch and a bonnet dent requiring attention), one in Bournemouth (with a dent in the rear qtr that the dealer 'forgot to mention' in the add and a tow bar!... umm no), one mint one in Aylesbury at a dealer with 25k for £12,995 (oh how i laughed down the phone...) and the one I bought that I found in Loughborough.

Took a few miles to find the right one but with 45k on the clock, clean bill of health by David at API (who checked it on my way home) and now with spotless silver wheels back on i'm just loving it! Wonder how many low tax ones are out there?

Pics below:

They had it up for £8995 but I managed to find enough superficial problems (gold wheels, not all SFSH) to haggle them to £7800 'take it as it is now' deal.

FSH was a all there (some dealer, some independent) and all checked out via phoning all the places before I went to see the car. I know the Scoob market though and my next stamp will be API for the cambelt service so that should help it for re-sale when/if i ever let her go!

Problem is it totally depends where you are in the UK as up north cars were going for £1k-1.5k less than anywhere below Nottingham.

My advice... sell it on here with good pics, list the service history including numbers so people can check them (the more open you are the more confident people are about just how good the car is) and then I'd say you could get near on £10k for it.... but you might have to be patient for that.

Hope that helps.... i'm no expert btw so i may get shot down on that thinking

Edit.... just realised i'm 'giving advice' to 53 with 15k posts!? - I feel like a 16 year old giving career advice to Alan Sugar now!
