Fantastic news, glad you got it back, I'm sure Adam has done a great job as usual!
Have you got it booked in with Andrew Carr yet?

It seems great at the moment but I've only put 250 miles on it so far. I reckon I can get the 500 done by Friday so I'll get in touch with Andy and hopefully get him to do it then or as soon as possible after. Adam said I should take it back to him to get done as he'll check it all over and put some thicker millers oil in once it's run in. I'll keep you posted. So far I'm very happy with how it's running. Can't wait to take it past 4,000rpm!

They were complete struts and I only had the front ones, as the back ones had knocking shockers they were left with the guy who fitted the coilovers.
I couldnt even give them away to be honest! I put them in the for sale section on here. There was only one taker and that was after a few days as I put in the listing that I was going to tip them by the weekend!
In the end the deal was he collected in exchange for 8 cans of beer!
Seems ridiculous but I just couldn't get rid of them

Did my Spec D ever make it back on here?

I sold it to a lad off here, but he sold it on again as was on PistonHeads a few months back. Car is in my profile still. I do still miss it sometimes. Great car.

It was. 08 Honda Fireblade

I'll keep an eye on the thread though in case the old girl turns up. A lot of time and money was spent on that car, so it would be nice to know it went to a good home.

Hi Guys, thought i'd stick mine in here too

Got my Spec D last july, this is my second one I previously had another Spec D PPP which I bought back in December '09 but had a rather nasty accident and unfortunately the car was written off.
Took the car to Scoobyworld for their stage 1 power upgrade and got 340bhp. Earlier this year I went to Powerstation and got their stage 1 handling upgrade.
Nearly a year into ownership and still absolutely loving my motor!

Not got an up to date pic but this is from when I bought it

Got it booked in with Andy on Wednesday so leaving it with Adam on Tuesday night so he can put some thicker oil in and change the filter and also check that all the work he's done is still in order. I'm sure Wednesday day I'm going to feel like a kid at Christmas!

Good power and good handling!! Excellent!
I sold my old car to scoobyworld its now their project car.
I could do with having a trip down there soon to check out all the moda they have done and to see what they could tempt me with for the spec d

Could do with getting mine up to Adams next week for an oil change and check over too.

I have now reduced it to £8000 on ebay with no reserve and not had a single call or bid. The Market must just be dead.

Took it to Prosport near me to have 30k major service (got a major bill to go with it!). To then find that I have compression issues. I was waiting about 2 months for the garage to quote me a price for a rebuild with forged pistons, uprated fuel pump, downpipe and all the other little bits I needed to put her right. Never even rang me back, everytime I chased him got some bulls**t excuse. What a TWOT. So in the end i've gone to Autotecnica in Buxton. He's still got her at the moment as he's had the heads skimmed, putting in drop in pistons, new head gaskets, and putting her back together again. Oh yeah and a Cobra exhaust as apparently the one I have on it now is choking all of my power away!!! I'll be putting a load of pics on here when I get her back. I think the best bit about picking her up is the journey back down the famous Cat & Fiddle road. Here's some pics of how she was before I realised she's a lemon
Don't want to worry you, but are you sure that is a Spec D?

The reason I ask is that Spec Ds came with no badges other than the Subaru logo front and rear combined with the fact that the number plate is not recognised by my iPhone app. Edit - Just seen the Malta bit but still not sure because if registered in UK I would have thought number plate would be recognised!!

Anyway, another to add to the list - not seen this thread before.

See my Garage for pics.

Ha ha, definitely a Spec D. Very observant though! It is registered as a Spec D on the log book. You won't be able to find the number plate as this is no longer on it as I have a private one. I'm the 3rd owner of this car and i'd imagine that one of the previous owners has had all the badges put on. I like it because it is different to all the others, I get some funny looks by other scooby owners, even had someone telling me at a set of lights that it wasn't an STi, I laughed and then when they went green I showed him it was It was meant for Malta but was first registered in the UK so not classed as an import. I was dubious when I was looking at buying it and checked, double checked, triple checked everything you could imagine. It all matched up.

According to http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/sub...wrx_sti-spec_d
it looks like there are 234 spec D's left, of which 13 of them are on SORN's

hi guys. just got her back from the bodyshop as the front wing and bonnet wasnt same colour? now looks mint again

Having owned 5 other scoobs including the type r v-ltd in the past, and moved away from the impreza to the world of vectra vxr and bmw 330 and mazda rx8 etc, i simply could not find a make which made me smile, so i came back to the scooby world and must admit these spec d cars are a real wolf in sheeps clothing!

My old spec D was the same. Got it resprayed under warranty. The weakest point of the car was the paint work imo. Lovely colour in the sun light but painted very thinly.

Well thats one year of ownership of the spec d today, and £400+ to tax it
Got to say though what a fantastic car the spec d is for the money
