I have some window deflectors and an HT Autos lip to go on at some point.

Car has a Heated Windscreen, BC ZR Coilovers and an Alan Jeffery forged engine. ALK, Whiteline rear ARB and mounts and soundproofing (doesn't work much with the thin glass) and a decent stereo. Standard exhaust.= happy neighbours!

Head gasket failure at 52000 miles- rebuilt engine (previous owner)
Head gasket failure at 58000 miles - booked in for new block, new crank shaft, new heads, new turbo
Guess I must really like the car.

Here is my Spec D - owned since 2011 and originally one of three press cars used by Subaru at launch. Mine was in Top Gear magazine.

Nice.
What front lip is fitted?
Anyone familiar with the carbon fibre one on Scoobyworld and how it looks on a Spec D?

Splitter looks great till you ding it.

this is why I use an HT plastic one. Their original one was fibreglass and once that was damaged it looked ****e. The new ABS plastic one will be a lot more resilient.

Yours may have been the one used in Car magazine - they compared it alongside the Mazda 6 MPS - I've got a copy at home somewhere.

That's a bugger - I think there were only three press cars which means only two left.

I've got a copy of that CAR magazine at home along with the Top Gear mag. I think yours may have been in Jap Performance too - I've got that lying around somewhere her.

Default I'm Back!

Wow has it really been 5 years since i posted on this thread! thats nuts! So great to see a few Spec-D's still out there though! Must be getting close to only 100 left i reckon (although i still see lots on the trader!).

Just got the old girl back on the road after a 2 years sorn. Was terrified of how bad sitting on a drive for that long could have been but a few Scoobynetters told me i'd be best just getting fresh fuel, wapping the batt back in, checking fluids and starting her up. Drive by wire thankfully means flooring the throttle before key turn cuts fueling automatically so it was just a case of 15 seconds to get oil pressure and fired up first time without any drama at all. Such a relief and soooo nice to hear that burble again! Passed its MOT first time even with 2 year old rusty brakes (shocking how crap your brakes can look without failing!).

If anyone ever wants to really appreciate their scoob then go without one for a while and then get back in. Been driving a very nice and by no means 'slow' 63 plate Octavia VRS Diesal Estate which i love for its comfy/lazy DSG and the occasional straight line shovelling. It goes when it needs too but holy crap do you forget what a 350bhp well tuned scoob can do when it wants to go.

Now the less fun side... deciding to do the minor things to get her ready to sell or throwing money at her to keep and enjoy.

Just got my first Scoob, a 56 plate Spec D registered 2/9/06.
Have a folder full of services (inc H/G’s) but no record of the mods, just a printout for 353bhp and about 380ft/lb, the only clue I can find so far is the 3” decat (can’t really miss it...kind of takes the “discreet” away as soon as you start it!), what sort of things would usually be done to get this sort of power?
Also (and this may sound like a stupid question but this is my first Scoob) it doesn’t like hard changes from first to second.....engine seems to bog down and stutter a bit and then pulls again?? Pulls really strong on all other changes.
As i’m Nottingham am going to take her to either ScoobyWorld or Scooby Clinic for a going over....can anyone recommend either for remapping/tuning?

Hey guys, here's my 2006 STI Limited (Same as Spec-D in the UK and Spec-G in Switzerland) has 87000km on it and in Obisidian Black Pearl.

Mostly stock with the exception of:
  • V-Limited Front Lip
  • Rally Armor Classic Mudflaps
  • MY05 Tail Lights
  • Prodrive Center Pipe and Axle Back
  • Alcantara Wrapped Steering Wheel
  • Gold BBS STI Wheels from the US

and here is also my (I know it's not a Limited/Spec-D/Spec-G) a 2005 STI with 162 miles on it.

What's your plan with the 162 mile one? Keeping it as an investment?

Thanks! I have a theme going on with the Black and Gold STI's lol.

It's a model car to me, but it goes in for its yearly service at the dealer every year (fluids, belts, hoses, etc). It's currently spinning on a Lazy Susan at my Home...makes for a good view in the morning.

Ultimate plan is to obtain a Bugeye STI also in Black and Gold so I have the complete GD Collection.
