Apple have done it again!
No shame at all
You feel honoured because I can read? Or because you have an overwhelming sense of self importance combined with arrogance, you sound like a young version of Lewis
Normally you reply in a discussion, so not sure why you think reading your posts is a special thing
But if it's the opposite and you think that I'm that special, thankyou

What exactly is your point? Macs are still a very small percentage. Growing, but you fail to mention that sales of computers is growing overall. So Macs sold more, so did everyone else. They are still a very small percentage of the overall figures.
They are niche in the retail world, virtually unheard of in the business world. It's the iPhone, iPad and iPod that makes Apple money, and good luck to them, they're good products (though I personally think iPad is vastly overrated). But Macs? 9 out of 10 people don't want them.
Geezer

I've managed to get my iphone and ipad app's onto the new Mini's Itunes, but do i have to buy them all again to work on the Mac?
Figured there would be something that would tell if i'd already purchased an app and then give me the Mac version...

Thanks for bringing back an awesome thread.
iPhone apps don't work on Mac's and Mac apps don't work on iPhones. Normal stuff.
There's an App store for the Mac if you click the Apple top left you'll find it.
Now to re-read this thread and suggest a few people suck some Lemons.

Lol
I understand the Iphone and Ipad app's wouldn't work straight off on the Mac, but i just presumed Itunes would pick up what app's you'd already purchased...it's all tied to the same account afterall.
Will defo read the whole thread though. lol

Ok here's what i've done then...
Last night i moved all my bought and free app's, from PC laptop to external hard drive and from the external hard drive to automatically add folder in the Mini's music->Itunes. I then checked my Itunes on the Mini and they started to appear. Cool i thought, but i can't for the life of me get them to work on the Mini...

Thought that after what you'd said before.
Just a way of making more money imo. You have one account with Apple, so why the need to keep charging you for the same application, even though you need slightly different versions of the same one.
How will it work with iCloud? I thought if i bought an app on say my iphone, then it automatically gets added to the other devices on the account? Or is it just pics and music?

Don't feel hard done by, it's pretty normal, XBox games don't work on PC's for instance.
If you buy an iOS app from the App store it gets added to any other iOS devices you have, in the same manner if you buy an App from the Mac App store it gets added to any other Macs you have. Android and PC users would find that quite generous.

Have a word with yourself, I used to think you were a bit technical, but have to question that now. When have you ever seen an application bought on a mobile phone working on a desktop machine? And you should be praising Apple for reigniting the application market, never have such quality apps been available for such a low price.
You have the Mac app store - click the Apple, look for store - and the iPhone/iPad app store. Nothing purchased from the Mac App store works on the iPhone/iPad and nothing purchased from the iPhone/iPad app store - accessed from your mobile device or iTunes - works on your Mac. They're both different operating systems so need different software.

And yes, you wouldn't expect cross platform apps/games to work, so why for non IOS devices?
Geezer
Apple key? If not using a Mac keyboard then it'll probably be mapped to the left windows key, or the left alt / gr key (though that is usually the 'option' key in Mac parlance),
Can't say i noticed it on the screen, but i'm using a wireless Apple keyboard(new style one) and there isn't any Apple key on it...

Then as they streamlined the keyboards, the keys changed and now it is simply known as the cmd key. We older lot just still call it the Apple key to confuse you youngsters

As to the Apple on the screen, well it is bloody obvious
Thanks for the enlightenment.
Just searched Google and it showed the grey bar at top of the screen....that isn't always there is it? It only appeared this lunchtime when footering about with it...

I thought the question was about the Apple logo at the top left of the window which is ALWAYS there (except in full screen app mode) regardless of which app you are in ???
