Hopefully things will only get better with the car mate, I totally understand the sense of panic which comes across in your earlier posts. I'm sure the money you paid for the car wasn't come by easily. Best not totally taint your going forwards with the car by carrying a load of negativity in your glove box. Objectively, I'd say you've stayed a lot cooler than I would under the same circumstances and I don't see in any of your posts on this thread where you've taken to petty name calling beyond suggesting that you might have been lied to. That seems like a reasonably mature approach to my eye.

Take the positives, like the right price and tidy body, get some pics up once you've made the car your own, and enjoy the obsession. You don't strike me as someone who is going to dwell on this beyond your initial emotions which are understandable.

all the best

Tim

Small claims court if they dont come to some agreement following your discusing this with them.

I ended up replacing, header tank, rad, pipes, thermostat with mine within the first 6 months. Classics ain't cheap get a Lateral Exedy and enjoy the car. Life's too short to get bent out of shape with second guessing whether you got ripped or not
Spot On about the clutch my classic has been slipping for about a month.
Off boost No Slip..Replaced rad after a week of buying the car.
Clutches DO NOT suddenly GO it happens gradually....
Good luck with your new purchase mate..

ive ran it for 10 mins on idle to notice there is still steam (small amounts from the same area.i had a look underneath and found that in the backbox there is a pin hole, with water coming out!!!! my brother followed me home(4 hr drive) with nothing visible blowing out the back, the water seems to have run down the exhaust system from the back to the front underneath and visibly wet. i topped up water(which was about half a pint) due to the so called minor hose leak with the car running and it seems to bubble a bit the the top up bottle! im starting to think ive been done and that there is something majorly wrong with this car! it dosent overheat but im getting very concerned!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
Should have stayed with your uk turbo mate ,315 bhp in a uk car makes a good fast uk car - only joking mate. Personally i would never buy a car from someone who tells me not to give it some . You have to bear in mind once you buy the car,how are YOU going to drive it when your behind the wheel. A turbocharged car is not for driving 'miss daisy' imho. I am not saying you should have had it bouncing off the rev limiter ,but it is a well known fact that these cars are often driven hard, and without 'giving it some' it can be near on impossible to detect any faults/problems .
Dont think the seller tried to con you ,but no need for him to start slating you ,especially when your still happy with the car.

You kids...

A clutch need loading, in top gear on a nice steep hill, no chocolate engine bollocks...

4000 rpm in top is where mine first started slipping, then fifth, then fourth, then out and swapped.

dunx

P.S. Hi J.F.
