i must admit im starting to think the older Imprezas are looking dated IE 2000 upwards, with the Hawk and current model holding the tourch for ME ( no Flaming please )

My first venture into scooby ownership, a MY96 Sport. Not quick, but handled well after putting wrx suspension on.
My 2nd, a 2009 WRXD, mods are planned when the warranty runs out.

Great thread!
First one (no pic) was Legacy estate 2.0 auto - good car, bought in a hurry as I was a bit desperate but it did the job and I enjoyed it. Sold it to buy this:
Then decided to get something a little younger and more comfortable, so I traded it in for this:
Great car, really nice to drive and in some ways wish I'd kept it but needed some cash, so I traded it down for this one:
Loved this, it was a great car, no doubt. The 3.0 H6 was a nice smooth engine, but after a couple of years I hankered after the kick of another turbocharged car (which obviously had to be a Scooby ) so after some searching I found this:
Loved it, great car. Spent some money on sensible alterations but left the engine and gearbox more or less standard and it ran great until I had to sell it as I needed more space (unexpected arrival of a dog) so I sold it on reluctantly and got myself a diesel Audi B5 A4 estate, 2.5 TDI quattro:
It ran okay, but it needed a lot of unexpected work so it cost me a fortune to keep on the road, so after a year and a half it had to go as it was starting to really annoy me (once decided to wind all the windows down in the rain for no good reason - inside was soaked lucky nothing was nicked) so I traded it in for this:
Best of the bunch I think. Was considering a 2.5 XT Forester or another 3.0 Legacy Outback, but had a test drive in all three and preferred the WRX

This is my first sooby. In the past i have only had fwd cars, a MKII Golf GTI 16v and a Saab 9-3 Aero -01. After about 2 and a half years with the Saab I decided that I wanted something els. Something meaner and more fun. My mined went from Nissan S14a, Nissan S15, Nissan Skyline R33 GTR. But then I found out about the Impreza STI Type R. I fell in love right away and decided i had to get one. I got help from Superior Imports AB ( www.superiorimports.se ) to import it from Japan in spring 2010. After my first test drive i know i had made the right choice. I love my car =).
It had a Zero Sports catback and tein coilovers, otherwise stock.
Now on the other hand it got some nice bits on it and more will be fitted =). I'm going to keep this car for a long time.
