A filter for parts and accessories so you can find what you're looking for.
To be able to delete unwanted messages from people hijacking your thread.
To be able to have a block a member facility from posting on your thread.
An auction bidding format would be nice for the sale sections
A lot of the features and benefits of flea bay that work negative feedback scores that stay for 12 months etc.
Oh and do something to stop me having to BTTT or BUMP all the time surely there's a better way.
Maybe even a system where members could talk to each other with headsets on like gaming
The possibilities are endless
Some good ideas in that list

Just to expand on a few:

Search filters: This is second part of the sales upgrades; Its recently been setup so everything is placed in categories. These will allow for quick searching of parts once enabled. Disadvantage: User must correctly fill all sections of the data entry form. And a strict "one thread per part" rule must apply.

BTTs/Bumping. Currently many people are taking the mick with multiple bumps per day. I would be happy to see this restricted somehow. The search filters (when implemented) would save the need to manually look through adverts, as it will allow a user to search for price ranges, model years, parts categories etc. So bumping threads should no longer be needed (as long as the user takes the effort enters their advert details properly and accurately).

Changing the default thread cut off age in every user's settings would help. I think alot of users have it inadvertantly set to zero days, meaning unreplied threads dissappear after 24hours.

I would have thought bttt./// could be once per day max but once every few days makes even more sense.

Would it be possible to split up the for sale section into sections for example:

1: Interior parts
2. engine .
3. wheel & tyre
etc etc etc

Bit like whathey have on NASIOC: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Just would life a lot easier when searching for parts

Pretty sure there are a few modifications for vB to deal with bumping of threads, this might be of use. However, seeing as SN is owned by IB who in turn own vB, I'm sure someone could knock up a quick mod to do this.

More action on trolls. Seems old ones are still trolling, new ones popping up. Some action is taken, but not enough. Install a mod that looks at users ignore lists and based on the number or percentage that a specific user appears on the ignore lists, that user is auto-tachy'd. Not perfect, but it might help, or possibly stop them from trolling for a little while.

Dare I say bring back infractions. No doubt some will moan that it's abused, blah, blah, blah. Typically these are people who have something to fear from being infracted, ie; not being able to spew forth and annoy quite a few people with their banal posts. Obviously need to have specific rules about which non mod / admin users can issue infractions, perhaps a sub-mod group (cue the usual suspects going on about me wanting to be a mod ). I do have a nice method for banning based on infractions and correctly re-enabling users when the infraction period is up, something vB3 did seem to have problems with. It'd allow users who should still be banned by infractions to post.

Compress member's for sale items in the Private For Sale section as I have just been on there and there is one members with 19 for sale threads, none of which from memory have anything to do with vehicle parts.

And stop the bloody use of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the thread titles as well, rather than make me look at a thread it has the exact opposite effect.

Yip totally agree, can't find anything for sale to do with scoobs on page 1!

a 'Non Car related items for sale section' would be the best as alot of other forums do this too.

We are sorting the market place hierarchy this week guys, have been discussing the pros and cons of various ways for quite some time, and this week they will be implemented and a LOT of topics moved around.

Thanks for your input so far, we are listening and will be doing all we can to help.

I agree with "Mr Fodder". An auction section too. Folks still put things up for sale without a price. I can understand as we dont all know how much something is worth, but we still want to get rid of the item. Simply a "pm me with your best offer by xyz date" would be good enough?

Tapatalk compatability would be fantastic :-) as I (like most people these days) have an iPhone and think it would be really beneficial, it would be cool to see an iPhone scoobynet app aswell but maybe I'm pushing it a bit there lol

Wouldn't thank you for one, let alone buy one, so don't tarnish my good name with your wild accusations.

It was used & abused TBH with the Usual Suspects pooling together to get peeps banned ... glad to see the back of it myself with proper mods now patrolling the site.

we are on with the changes to Market Place. Bear with us guys as it requires 10s of thousands of topics moving around but it will be worth it in the long run.

Copied from my comments in a General thread:

In the " Market Place (SN Members only)" -I dont' think there is a need for "Full Car breaking section"
There is already a "Car parts section" here for individual items.
If somebody wants to break a full car he should really do it in the Authorised trader section, " Full car breaking" (i.e. become an authorised trader if he wants to break a whole blemin car!!)

Also the Traders Contact Area should be a link to a thread, on top of the "Trader Announcement Section" rather than a whole sub section that is locked & contains just phone numbers etc

I also don't think there should be two "Group Buy Sections" as in almost most instances the group buy products are being sourced/bought from Traders anyway. Group buys should be in either section but unlocked for Traders & members to start threads in.

"Dealer & third part queries" is a complete waste of space as well, surely another place can be found as a link in the Trader Announcement section" maybe?

Also "Driving Dynamics" might as well be lumped in with "Suspension" & called "Suspension & Dynamics" as nothing ever goes on in "Driving Dynamics" apart from me posting videos!!

Lightbulb Rc section

Just a thought and I know it's only viable if there's enough interest but I thought perhaps they may be room for an rc car section. I have an rc Subaru drift car and love it and am sure theire must be others out there with the same passion!

also think think the i trader needs adjusting not sure how , just dont really seem to work , people dont seem to always use it when buying and selling (probably guilty of that myself..lol)
