Got my shi*e together this weekend and started to put the engine back together. Jarv did some Picasso work on some engine parts and is finishing off some more this week. Most bit's are back in less the IC, coolant and the PAS connecting. New K&N Oil filter fitted, magnetic plu and oil filled up.

While I was at it I fitted the Hardrace Gearbox mount and SuperPro supplementry subframe bushes. A good dose of Waxoyl Hammerite was applied before fitting.

The front hubs have arrived, so they will get cleaned up this week and fitted when I can get the f**king bolts out of the chassis that hold the wishbones on .

Flexible edging for the splitter to protect the bumper paint work when it comes back.

Cheers Si, front bumper, splitter, P1 driving light covers and some other bit's are getting a bit of Picasso at the moment.

I just need to get the wishbones off and I am nearly there. But I am being cautious with the bolt's as I have heard some horror stories . The DEFI's can be fitted once the Pod is back from flocking .

Next update will be a bit delayed until the Jolly Boy find builds up!

Default The Beast Awakes

After a fubar with the PAS the part finally arrived today .

So, coolant in, tightness check on all the main bits, a quick charge from the Eunos and the keys went in the ignition for the first start in a few months. I must admit that I did have a little mouses head as I had not run it since the cam bel and all the other bit's had been changed .

Start 1. Click on the image to see what happens!

racing rev's!

Call to Kitey and he talks me through the throttle butterfly and I discover the problem. It's not sat in the stirrup and channel properly.

Start 2.

Again, click on the image. Sorry about the angle but I was excited.

So, Brembo's to be collected, collect the bumper from Picasso, hubs, wishbones and the wheels will roll.

Many thanks to Kitey for the advice and stopping me from flapping like a wind sock.

Ryan, it's been emotional. I still have the bolts in the chassis to get out and don't want to f**k it up.

I have drilled holes above the bolts and filled it with a mix of copper grease and WD40. I have plugged the holes with body panel fasteners and am leaving it a day or so to soak in and have another bash.

I know that feeling all to well mate,my own project is giving me roller coaster ride at the moment!
What have you tried to undo them with Ian ?
You need a very good fit 6 sided socket so it doesn't round off and a decent size breaker bar.

Default New Bit's

Met the mighty Jarv today to collect a few bit's . Can I say that they are pretty awesome, I know he'll have trouble getting his head in the car tomorrow and Ty will extract the urine but I had to say it!

Here's the goodies.

Should all be on by Sunday afternoon .

Early morning raid then Ian?

He's not too bad at using crayons is Jarvis, but he's so old now that he should be more than capable of wielding a spray gun in anger.

I'm looking forward to seeing it at PCAD, so that'll be no more Panama hat and pink scarf required when you drive the mixer.

Ty, the Mixer will be the weapon of choice for PCAD, sorry. The Brembo's need painting and STi 7's need rubber and paint. So, the Superleggera's will be getting sold soon as they no longer fit. Looking at the Prodrive Reunion bash for the first outing.

Default 60mm DEFI Pod is back.

Had the new 60 mm Pod flocked and the DEFI's fit an absolute treat. The wiring for the gauges was fitted when the engine went back in and this made it a much easier and neater job.

The pod is from R Spec in fibreglass.

Hi Dan, hope all is well?

Yes, it clicks into the old lock mechanism where the lid was. It was a very good finish initially, so the flock adhered well. I am looking at fitting it after, fingers crossed.
