As this has been posted on to bump it back up today I will ask a couple of questions.

Did anything become of the scums and your car?

Did you sell the car or not?

Hope nothing did happen and if it did I do so hope they got their comeuppence

been burgled twice now and last time i came in late and caught them at it.they got a kicking and 6 months each in prison when the police turned up.the look on their faces when a squaddie walked in on them was priceless...now i have shotguns so if some ******* tries it agin i will be marching them to police at gunpoint.

This is very sad to hear and i feel for you, good luck with whatever you decide to do, no one can tell you otherwise. I love my Scoob and would like to think i wouldnt sell it for anything, but i also have a 6 year old daughter and would give my life to protect her. Ive done everything i can afford to do ie: outside lighting, decent alarm and immobilisers, Tracker, and recently bought a Dobermann (not just for the car but does help!) I honestly believe these scumbags will take your pride and joy if they really want it, you have a family to protect and they can never be replaced but the car can. I hope you managed to find a garage or somewhere to store it for a little while, or fair play if you sold it, it takes a man to step up and protect his loved ones.
Makes me so mad we work hard to pay for nice things just for some ****** to come along and take it. i worry about mine constantly-kinda takes the fun out of owning it sometimes.

I could be totally wrong but if you are worried about your car being stolen, wouldn't a good idea be to just disconnect the battery, leave the keys downstairs, stay where you are if thieves enter the house and let them struggle starting it? I doubt many thieves would pop the bonnet!
