For the extra £500 or so i would have gone for Trinity's black type R as that was a stuuning and well sorted motor.

not being funny,i did consider that one,but i prefered the one i bought, and got it for a decent price, just wished the seller had been honest with me regarding the clutch as his previous posts sugest he knew about the clutch.apart from this the car is superb inside and out.

Sorry but did you know about that post before you went and bought the car?

2nd were you told about the clutch problem when you bought the car?

And from the way the car was advertised it was meant to be mint condition no faults etc and it has a

Water leak! Where abouts?
Slipping clutch - that the seller created a post to but sold it knowin it was faulty and needed replacing. You got a link to the post

This shocks me if it were true as I would expect an active forum member not rip off another member and always thought this would be the best place to buy one from, you live n learn I guess

Really sorry as i feel a little guilty as I popped the link to the car up on your post in the general section when you were looking, so sorry mate

The "oooops" comment from the seller sounded a bit like, "aahaha... got one over on ya!" I'm sure it wasn't meant that way, but personally I would never sell a car with a known fault like that & especially after the seller's spiel commented on how clean the car is & faultless..

I'm sure it will be a minor set back mate & good luck with the new motor!

If the seller knew of these issues then he should pay up.

Personally I would be going down the legal route if there are posts to prove he knew before he sold the car.

You may have a case for the small claims court considering he knew about the clutch! contact him and see if a deal can be struck

£100?

Id say going half would be at the very LEAST as he obviously knew it was all shot when he sold it.

as he knew about it, and didnt tell the buyer surely he should pay for it in full, the buyer should maybe pay for the fitting to be fair.

Don't believe the car is a complete lemon, just the seller.

Where exactly does it say - my clutch is f*****???????

If I didn't achieve a sale I was going to start with up-grades, hence the enquiry's with the performance clutch etc etc

I don't give a damn about the money, if it needed a clutch I would have gladly done it, grow the f*** up the lot of you!

I'm telling you the clutch never slipped with me driving it, I ragged it during test drive with 3 heavy men in it, I repeat it did not slip!

I did not force him to buy it, he's a big boy and he should be a man and live with it. He paid measly scrap money for a bloody nice car, not retail forecourt money.

If you can't handle it lads, take your AA/RAC inspectors with you to a retailer and buy a car with a warranty!

The more you post the more insincere you come across.

I know who I'm more inclined to believe.

The money he got the car for is of no relevance, its the fact you sold it to him with a slipping clutch.

Why you have to start coming on here swearing away just proves what kind of person you are.

Unfortunately people like you don't have a conscious but least I and others know not to buy stuff from you.

You live and learn and what a great attitude to have as even if it was sold unknowing of the clutch inwould still be screwing that I had to spend out on it straight away

But hey you seem happy and still looking forward to owner ship so contests guys on the sale

Enough said and move on top stuff

I can relate to a degree, the one I bought was advertised as really good condition with just a couple of dents. Yeah right.

A bit more than that but what was funny was pointing a repair out and him saying oh yeah noticed that when washing it, urm then why didn't you mention it in the ad and to me over the phone!. Was about to walk away but bought it in the end and slowly getting it up to mint condition.

They getting hard to get hold of in really good condition and I haven't seen another one up for sale with the engine shot so pleased I bought it.

Least I know the engine is good and the rest is cosmetic. Problem now is I want more power lol
