Hi,

there ar also quite many scammers her in Austria and Germany (especially on the biggest german car internet platforms mobile and autoscout), but I'm really astonished to hear that there are so many in the UK (it seems so, but not everyone is a scammer)
It's alsoe a risk and some money for me to fly over to the UK and to import a car. (you have to pay money depending on consumption and CO2 emissions when importing a car).

Anyway I will send pm late evening and if everything is fine with our local tax office I will book a flight to the UK -next Monday)

BR
Chris

Default Winter tires

Hi everyone,

I already booked the flight Monday evening and talked to Wayne.
1 "problem" still exits: I have to go 1500 km (1000 miles) back to Austria, there seems to be a lot of snow everywhere (just had a business trip from frankfurt to Innsbruck this week that normally takes 5-5,5 hours and it took me 11 hours by car).

If everything with the car is fine, I prefer to get some winter tires for my way back. So looking for a set of wheels with winter tires or rims for the STI on my way from Leeds to Austria. (route Castleford, Doncaster, Newark, Stamford, Cambridge, Harlow, Brentwood, Calais, Reims, Verdun, Meetz,..)
Does anyone have a set or is there a Subaru/n Impreza breaker on this route?
Thanks
Chris

One option might be to book a mobile fitter like eTyres to arrive after you've decided on the car. If you decide not to take it you can cancel, if you do then you can complete the deal with Wayne and watch the tyre fitter fit the new rubber to the car

I will not try out top speed (only on narrow mountain roads)

I'm still looking for some 17" STI rims that I can pick up on my way home. If anyone has some alloys please let me know.

Starting to get nervous, airplane is leaving tomorrow 9:15 p.m in Munich and can't wait to see the STI.
