After reading this thread I bought a can of it to try, as I too am a massive chilli lover with a range of sauces rated at over 600k Scovilles
Have to say when you buy stuff that says 'dynamite hot' or 'red' hot they never are, and I was very surprised to discover how hot it actually was
Its defiantly the hottest thing I have eaten from a supermarket without having to spice it up myself, although as far as chilli goes it was poor, and consisted mainly of kidney beans
Made a nice change for a company having the ***** to make something with a proper kick to it

I just had some.
Yes it was quite spicy* but as a chilli it was very poor quality. I wouldn't have it again. Mostly sauce with a few beans.
* if you want really spicy go to Satay House, Paddington, and ask for Sambal Telur - it is not on the menu and even my hardened Asian friends struggle with the heat!!!! It is super tasty though

I had some of this at the weekend. Like everyone else I wasn't expecting it to be very hot at all but OH MY GOD I've been doing the dance of the fiery ar5eholes ever since
Incredible heat from a pre-prepared meal in a can. Beware

This stuff is evil It's the hottest thing in a can for sure. My problem is not the eating but the morning after.......... Jesus! It gets to the stage it's like a dry w**k, you get the feeling but nothing comes out! Pain is not the word!

Pontificating
FPMSL at this thread, copied the link for Bad attitude I like the idea of Pork diced, I once had a poncey Chili in Chelsea and they used diced beef instead of minced and it was lovely, obviously been marinated for a few hours which made it all the nicer.
I will have to try the Stagg, just for the hell of it, it's a bit like licking a 9v battery as a kid, you've been told what it's like you've seen the other kids leaping about but you still do it, if ever there was a reason not to try the Stagg this thread is it but it must be done

I don't think they could sell some of the stuff I go for, there probably isn't much of a market for Chilli that makes your eyes water when its cooking, never mind eating.

Maybe I got a taste for spice after following the Asian habit of eating raw chillies with my main meals ?
Talking of the burn during cooking, biggest mistake I made was to put dried chilli seeds in a open blender to then make a chilli powder
I sold that trick to the SAS for rapid clearance of enclosed areas..

Try my Chilli recipe posted on this thread, I guarantee you will love it. If you get some good quality bird eye chillis the flavour is amazing.
None of this packet/tin/jar nonsense

I got some of this to put in a chilli a while back..
6.4 million scovilles. jesus wept. and so did I. my mouth was on fire for hours, and that was through a tiny, tiny amount. on reflection I should of used a lot less..
theres a 16.5 million scoville additive Ive got my eye on, although I don't think my sphincter would ever forgive me, let alone the missus who I neglected to inform about the added extra..

16.5 million ? I thought the scale only went to 16 million - that being pure capsaicin.

yep, should've read 16 million. not that 500k would make that much of a difference..
