Stagg "Dynamite Hot" Chilli

Had a can of this for lunch today at work.

http://d3hqdt8j93rgvn.cloudfront.net...a3e1376141.jpg

I am reasonably used to eating hottish types of foods, we eat jalepenos around 3/4 times a week as the missus puts them in everything (even in salads)

We have 2 bottles of Daves Sauce, both normal and temporary,
Here is a beef sarnie i ate during the summer :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/10...s/IMAG0013.jpg

So i am not what i would consider a pusscake when it comes to hot foods, but fook me i totally underestimated this stuff.

Can was poured into a bowl to be microwaved while i dug out some rice, and i quickly started shoveling in big mouthfulls :D

It was not long before i had to stop, i had to take off my hat as i started sweating and i felt off my tits :D

It was great :D

It has utterly destroyed my hoop though, just dropped the kids off at the pool for the second time and it feels like i have been stabbed up the jacksie :(

Will be trying another can though, perfect food for work when the weather is crap :D

Recommended for a quick chilli fix, the missus is cooking a proper homemade one tomorrow though so i think my second Stagg experience can wait until next week.

The Dogs B******s 25 November 2010 10:50 PM

I struggled to eat it,it was that hot

StickyMicky 25 November 2010 10:51 PM

Its great! :D

I was expecting typical canned pusscake stuff, you know its good when you have to remove your hat :D

jods 25 November 2010 10:54 PM

I have that stuff - I use it as a pre-cursor to my homemade chilli oil.
If people can't handle "Insanity" with ease they don't get my homemade stuff.

SPEN555 25 November 2010 10:57 PM

Been eating it for years :D Every now and then I will have a bad do on the bog feeling like someone is blow torching my ar$e but that chilli's for you :D

beef-on-the-bone 25 November 2010 11:02 PM

StickyMicky 25 November 2010 11:06 PM

My next one is going over a jacket spud :D

MMT WRX 25 November 2010 11:09 PM

jods 25 November 2010 11:16 PM

I'll make up three 200ml bottles of my oil - It blows Insanity out of the water.

If you want one FOC - PM me your address.
If you want referalls - send your email address and I'll ask people who have tried it to send you their feedback.

SetoN 25 November 2010 11:48 PM

I like hot food, but couldn't face that cos it looks bloody awful.

Well I think I like hot food, but when I had a dab of Dave's Insanity sauce to try, I actually wasn't sure I'd survive ;). Don't think it's good to have it on it's own.

fast bloke 26 November 2010 01:31 AM

Two or three times a month I make a Naga Chilli. The range of heat is huge, but you can't get much hotter that a Dorset Naga unless you go to a specialist. This has been building over the years, so the kids will have a vindaloo or a madras and think it is quite tasty, but not really hot. Didn't realise how much we had go used to this stuff until we had a party. I got a couple of Naga Jolokia's to make the chilli. When I started to cut them, my fingers were burning, I couldn't breath and I couldn't see, so I went back to the Dorsets. By the time dinner was over, everyone was sweating and hiccuping.... lucky I didn't go with the Jolokia

boxst 26 November 2010 02:52 PM

Use by the drop, I thought they were joking with the Insanity sauce.

But oh no! Wow it was hot!

LG John 26 November 2010 03:17 PM

Lol, that is a useful amount of insanity on that beef. I think my limit is above insanity but not by a great distance. I tried a few red pepper mofos from a mates curry in the Indian the other week and it nearly blew my socks off. I was rather quiet for 10 mins :D

Jods, pmed

Good Stuff that Stagg Chilli, its about the hottest off the shelf food you can buy, Asda Vindaloo sauce in a Jar is great as well but very little short of home made really cuts it these days, when I do Chicken Kebabs the kitchen becomes a no go zone, the acrid Chilli fumes make everyone cough :D I like eating them raw straight from teh bag.

I cant be doing with people who say "I like to taste my food, you cant possibly taste it if its that hot", that is bollocks, when you can handle it, and dont panic you taste it, all Chilli's, even raw and very hot taste subltely different, some are fire, some smokey, some green tasting, once you can take the the heat, that when you get the additional, flavours otherwise all you can think of its cooling your mouth !

Neanderthal 26 November 2010 03:50 PM

lol There's not been a good old Scoobynet 'Chilli' waving contest thread for a while!
Vindaloo is as hot as I'll go and even then I seriously pay for it :lol1:

SJ_Skyline 26 November 2010 03:56 PM

You're all bloody mad! :D

mamoon2 26 November 2010 04:17 PM

Here is a recipe I use for Authentic Texan Chili. None of that con carne nonsense!!

It's an award winning recipe in the US Chilli competitions. I promise you its a taste sensation.

Try it out and let me know what you think

Bad Attitude Chili

StickyMicky 26 November 2010 04:48 PM

Well the missus has confirmed that we are having insanity sauce chilli tonight for tea :D

Just as my ring piece was getting over the Stagg-Attack.

IIRC i have 2 pint cans of Strongbow kicking about somewhere deep inside the fridge, should be a nice combo :D

Myles 26 November 2010 05:29 PM

Some guy in the gym a while ago said he had a tin for a quick protein boost, and that it was brown eye watering stuff. Naturally, I mocked him.
Fast forward a few days alter when my arse was like a ring doughnut, and I was trying to push turds out which were not there. Potent stuff indeed.

Will 26 November 2010 05:30 PM

Keep that away from me  lastmtime I had it I was sweating like feck qnd it gqve me the most painfull ring of fire ever  Was sat on the pan for 2 hours!!!!!!

Leslie 27 November 2010 12:27 PM

Might just as well eat the insanely hot chili with a spoon. No point in eating any other food with it since you can't taste it anyway.

Les :)

MrJim 27 November 2010 12:51 PM

i call it ring stinger in a can

You get used to it and it isn't that exciting any more. Remember when you got a dial up internet connection and you downloaded porn pics? Do you still w**k to pics or have you moved up to broadband and movies by now????

StickyMicky 03 December 2010 08:43 AM

We had some more a few nights back, the missus was doing a little American style meal with onion rings and stuff so i picked another can up.

I warned her!!

It was hot going down, never affected me at all coming out, she was up all night with stomach cramps

It is now banned from the cupboards :lol1:
