Don't need switchable maps to run a meth mix.

WRX9181 - Im confused by your replies, im not having a dig but I'm not sure who you are responding too:

As he'll need a switchable maps ???
Best to use one map imho, as if you run a meth and the map is based on having meth in the tank ie 20%, then if you decide to run a non meth fuelmixture then you'll need to drain the tank or at least run the tank almost dry before filling back up with whatever it is your running the other map on. I can understand some folk who take racing serious having syvecs mulit maps etc, as they may be running alsorts of high octane, and then for daily use between maps they simple runt he tank dry and fill with V power and select the 2nd map [/quote]

As he's not said ecu or I've missed it ?
You started the ECU comments

Anyway put your handbags away the guy wants advice..
The mrs has mine today

And thought I'd offer mine as ive got the numbers he's after.
What numbers are we refering too, telephone contacts or power figures? If we are refering to the the 383bhp, then thats pub talk 400 anyway Also the guy isnt to fussed about 400 or a meth mix, so this is the conversation ender!

Anyway good luck mate be carful who you listen too....
Good advice, I certainly listen to those that know what they are talking about, and share my limited knowledge and experiences, I do not offer guesses or answers if I do not fully understand the question, or if I dont have the required knowledge of the specific question or quries

Ps standard clutch on mine is fine so far....
Agreed for medium road use, but not for track use though if you want to see better times and control, The 2.5 Organic kit in my 2.0 worked a treat, but under hard launches its bound to slip beyond what is demed as 'loosing time' and will burn out the clutch quickly.

Yes mate, but if you get to the point that your going to be changing some other items, the budget this in for the future, my cars NPS failed, and its a bit of a tw&t to get to, so I ran mine for a couple of months with this failing and got it fitted at the same time as the clutch being fitted.

Rob

PS if the torque makes you NPS fail, then Cotton Competition sells them at a nice price He has them on eBay too. Ive had three cars that these have failed on now .

My std. STI clutch gave up at 360 ft.lb.s before it even got a map on it ! ( 392 bhp ! )

Had some track time, but never any silly launches.

dunx

P.S. Not everyone wants to mess about with toxic chemicals, for a variety of reasons.
