Having just fitted all my mods and having gone through this on a 2002 uk ppp sti I got 355. Problem with the neutral position sensor and Duncan was not too happy with the fuel (vpower). Mods
20g
850cc injectors
Single decat
Fuel pump
Have done all the brakes and suspension mods as well.
Duncan is back down this weekend to finish off the road mapping. So will see with the new fuel.
He also recommended that the headers be changed.... The next big limit.
I was a little disappointed with the number, but the car is so much quicker. And what a noise!!!!
I have dyno results, but can't post from my mobile. I can email to someone if they can host or I will post this weekend.

Update..
Ok so its been a while, but im now moving closer to the required mods to get what I'm seeking.
3" Full Decat (Fitted)
GT30 (To fit)
CAI (To fit)
CA Fog Feed (To fit)
FPR (To fit)
Standard 550cc injectors, Up-pipe, Headers and maybe a 255Walbro.
Do you think I need a larger fuel pump?
Anything else required?

If you are on standard internals it might be wise to limit your ambitions on your model to around 400 bhp.
The GT30 is capable of far more than that subject to what model.
The problem with a cold air kit is the length of induction and the limit to the size of the air filter you can run and therefore the inability to run big power unless you are very resourceful in deploying a large filter. If you are aiming for 400 bhp a bigger cone is adviseable.
Pink injectors at standard fuel pressure max out somewhere around 370-380 bhp. Bump the fuel pressure and you might get another 5% but in bumping the fuel pressure you are putting extra strain on the fuel pump and in my experience operating a Walbro 255 pump beyond 5.5 bar is bad news so with your plans at present you certainly want an uprated pump and would probably be better to look at bigger injectors rather than an FPR.
What are you doing for headers and uppipe which are important to your overall specification?

Do you actually have a power goal in mind?

My Goal is as the thread is titled and I intend on being open and honest about what its cost and what the outcome will be on here once complete. Im not saying that you can do this cheaply, but you can certainly do it on a budget if you source hard enough... The budget being 'as cheaply as possible'. I was at Prosport today and I was talking to someone regarding the potential of the standard 2.0 motor, and I suggested that If I dont get to 400bhp, and under achieve then as long as the car feels responsive then im very happy........ although going forward I will probably opt for the 'harvey special headers and upipe' later this year along with some larger injectors and pump to see what I can push the 2.0 motor before it strains, or goes bang .. I have every intention on having a track car within a year or so, and if I end up with a built 2.35 or 2.1 for my current car if the standard STI lump fails then it looks like I have found my track car . I would rather my currently 2.0 lump not expiring soon, but Im not naive and understand that the more you push the limit the closer the end becomes. I figure that a good solid engine with a good choice of bolt ons and more importantly a very good mapper can make a 450bhp STI very reliable.
3" Full Decat - Fitted 17th Feb
CAI - Fitted 01st March (but still after a cone)
CA Fog Feed - Fitted 01st March
GT30 - Fitting Wc 07th March
3" Samco Silicon Intake Pipe - Fitting Wc 07th March
FPR with adapter - Fitting Wc 07th March
255 Walbro (bought 1hr ago from Mark @ Lateral) - Awaiting Delivery
Standard 550cc injectors
Standard Up-pipe & Headers.
What do you think, is 400 or thereabouts achieveable with this? Also going forward with a decent set of headers and upipe, what is there to gain?
Thanks,
Rob

Well some good news... Had Duncan out doing the road side of my map and he found a problem with my BOV which was taken back to standard and that explained a few of the issues with the fuelling much happier now. Rough guess of 10-15bhp more (based on air fuel) so that puts me up around 370.... Will get it back on a dyno in a couple of months.

Nice Graham, do you think you'll get to the magic 400 with the 20G and supporting mods?
Well I fitted the CAI and CA Feed today. It was simply enough, but some of the little grub screws on the inner wing liner were being stubborn!!!
The car will not be going very far now, and if I do need to drive it somewhere it will be off boost until the rest of the parts above are fitted and the car is mapped. Mark from Lateral phoned today to confrim my Walbro order, so that should be here at the end of the week which I'll install (30min job). Also the FPR adapter wont be here until next week at the earliest.
Brian at CAMS Performance is undertaking the work next week, and Andrew Carr will be mapping it afterwards

Update:
Car is at CAMS Performance....
GT30 being installed, but sourcing an oil feed.
76mm Samco Intake
Hayward and Scott Headers
Standard TMIC (for the time being)
Standard Pinks (but I have got some PE 740cc's for when I get a FMIC)
Walbro 255
CAI and Fog feed
SARD FPR
Raceland Coilovers being installed and setup, im aware plenty folk are wanting some feedback of these, so it should be v_interesting when returned to me
Ohhh and Andrew Carr will be mapping it

GT30 £700 2nd hand
76mm Samco Intake £110 new
3" complete decat £250 2nd hand
Hayward and Scott Headers £200 2nd hand
Standard TMIC should see somewhere near 400. (FMIC required for more power @ min £350+)
Standard Pinks as above for 400 ish (i have some 740s though £200+)
Walbro 255 £75 new
CAI £80 new
Fog feed £15 new
SARD FPR £70 new
FPR Adapter £25 new
Labour for the above - TBC
Mapping Tweak by Andrew Carr
So this is around £1500 - £1700 in parts, plus labour and remap costs
Anomalies, fitted a 2.5 Clutch recently. uprated pads, H Brace, Whitelines etc etc to stop it And of course the Coilovers .
Im not finished, but I think I can get to 450 ish for under 3k before I need a new bottom end , so im working on a contingency plan....
I had the intention of getting the car to 400bhp or thereabouts and calling it a day, but have since decided to track the car. So the car will see a dramatic weight loss in the coming years, but im going to run it full fat for a while to get use to it. Plus I will need an oil burner for work and school runs which is another cost .

I would imagine 400bhp is doable, but its the torque and how you drive that can/will kill a clutch. I have a 2.5 Organic clutch forsale that handled 400bhp at ease, but if you were to hard launch the car it wouldnt be happy, yes the 2.5 organic took the strain of a launch and feathered the power down, but its not good for track use.

My car has now had a FMIC, induction system and a full 3" exhaust added, with the remap, it has made 383. A little disappointing that it's not 400, but it drives well and I can't be assed spending more on the car (sadly, you put a lot in and don't get a lot out), so focus is moving to my next car see the "other marques" section

would see 400 with a 10% meth mix buddy.
