Some done again today
Second turbo housing rotated, and fitted
Header tank, fuel feed bulkhead fitting, fuel feed to pump all mounted/done
Fuel rails and injectors back on as altered to give more clearance for fittings
An old friend popped in and he was unaware of even the cars existance and his reaction to the car was v amusing.
Brought home the work thats been put in and how close it is to running.

Do the turbos work efficiently when you have the filter bolted directly to the comp cover?
Do they not need a length of silicone (or ally pipe with joiners) between filter and housing, to act as a kind of laminar airflow-inducing venturi?

We will find out when Simon and I line up against each other at Marham in 8 weeks
Joking aside, looking at many drag race cars they run with just an intake trumpet directly on to the inducer. In my experience the shorter the intake runner the higher the possibility of compressor surge but top end flow is not compromised.

If its a problem I can profile the boost to avoid surge or add intake pipes but I cant see it being necessary..
8weeks, gulp, I best get my skates on

off the top of my head - gearlinkage, fuel return to tank, gearbox oil, engine oil, water, intercooler pipes, oil feeds for turbos, one oil return, alternator (also needs a belt) and starter motor wiring, dash wiring, dash back in, fuel pump wiring, other wiring bits - fuse box for the car loom - ecu fuse box is done already, coils need fitting, relays need plugging in, all the engine loom/ecu loom needs moving to correct places and plugging in, oil pressure up etc
double check everything several times... lol need to build a map to suit the custom loom too.
probably 40 man hours, so I need 4 people working on it tomorrow lol

Massive thanks to CJ, Richard (Dukeboy), and Ian (Bod) for spending the day working on the car, Ed for the timing light and lorry battery and Dan for videoing first start and charlie for the smells
video of first start might be a little bit of fuel in the exhaust, only a little lol - exhaust current consists of a silencer on each downpipe as awaiting more parts

Nice one Simon I remember that buzz when I first fired up my H6, its great for motivation.
Wish I had a team doing my 40hrs work in 1 day lol, takes me about 2 weeks to get that much time to spend on the car at the moment!
