Iphone now has flash browser

That hasn't even been invented yet, there isn't a true native method, the browser will still have to use a rendering engine, even if <video> element is to be used and this will happen within 5 years? Unlikely, probably not even in 15.

In no way has the Iphone revolutionised gaming, if you honestly believe that you have no understanding of the games market, the games on any mobile phone are so far behind games consoles and pc's it's unbelievable, they will never compete.
I have a HTC Desire HD and have games such as angry birds on it, it passes the time while the wife is dragging me shopping but it will never change the industry, I will never swap my Xbox 360 or even my Nintendo DS for mobile phone games, granted people probably play games on an iphone that would not touch a games console but they will not make any dent on the games industry

I'd say that shows quite an impact. Yes games are better on PC's but you'd have to agree that the iPhone changed the gaming 'market' quite significantly.

What you are refering to is the Portable game market, where your link shows the DS which is about to be replaced with a new console still dominates with 70% market share.
The PSP is an old console now and has been on the decline for some time, so the fact the iphone has passed it is no suprise.

Are you saying that the iPhone has had no effect on the gaming market? Not only has it enabled some innovative games but it's biggest effect has been the generation of a huge new revenue stream not only for your big players but for small guys as well. Now there are only so many dollars available, so whether you like it or not that has an effect on the market as a whole.
What you're saying is the iPhone is insignificant because it can't run Crysis.

No, he's saying it's insignificant in the greater scheme of things. It certainly has not revolutionised gaming, portable or otherwise. It is a natural progression of a revolution already started by Nintendo and Sony, albeit a good one.
Apple have stood on the shoulders of giants (again) but it wouldn't surprise if you claimed the invention of the wheel on their behalf next....
Apple make good products, but so do others and many other companies are as innovative. Apple did not invent the idea of touch screen, nor the first touch screen. They did, however, make a good touch screen accessible, and should be applauded for that, but revolutionary? I think not.

I think Apple did more than stand on a few shoulders. What are the initial costs for developing and distributing a DS game? Same for any other platform really. I'd say the $99 price and revenue share model Apple delivered is not insignificant.
