This article is a real joke! Mr Webb Lee is right old toss pot. The smell is actually affecting him therefore i think he is using his "muslims friends are not visiting him" because he knows that way the planning permission will be rejected. ![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)
So as you can see there are no Muslims actually involved & things are being over exaggerated by third parties.

Because it sells papers and they are the scape goat of choice at the moment.
Ties in with my comment above.
I think we should be critical ofIslam and Muslims when it is justified - as with all groups - however the approach of "everything is their fault", worries me.

Nothing surprises me anymore, country is F**ked - how can anyone with an ounce of sense see that this is right?? I live 5 minutes away from the area, over the last 5 years its been taken over by muslims to the point that its driven white people out of their homes because of the hostile environment that they have created to non muslims! These people do not intergrate, and take the P**s bacause of the political nonesense that this country has created! I wonder what the outcome would be if the roles were reversed in India??

Does anyone know who was on this Stockport Area Committee?
If the cafe has been there that long how can anyone complain about the smell?
Its like these prats that live near Donnington or Silverstone and then moan about noise, what did they think when they moved there?
There has obviously been a issue between the new owners, maybe the old one gave the neighbour free breakfast and the new owners dont.

"They say that Environmental services had been out to inspect their property after their neighbour complained about a foul odour last year, but they ruled that the smell was not causing a problem"
"Environmental services said everything is ok. They kept coming back and guaging it and said there was no problem and because they didn't take any action they complained again," she added.
"The couple had never applied for planning permission as they had simply replaced an existing extractor fan with one of the same size and in the same position, but, following further complaints from their neighbour, they were informed by the council they would have to apply retrospectively as an objection had been raised"

If the headline had read, "Planning dispute over extract Fan" would you have read or even clicked the link?
But, these clever media types know how to spin a story to increase their readership.

The country isn't ours anymore.
Bit like the criminal having more rights than their victims, so the immigrants have more rights than the natives.
Same as when you read/hear about someone having to take down the St George's flag for offending Muslims, and is seen as being Racist.
If you want to live hear, get a free house, free education, health care, and benefits, the least you can do is show some respect for the British way of life, it's laws, and it's customs. If no? FCUKOFF then.

Couldn't agree more. The journo responsible probably asked the guy next door who complained if his friends didn't like the smell and then if any of them were Muslim and hey presto they have their story for the masses to lap up on the current wave of anti Muslim sentiment.
And it works too doesn't it, as this thread demonstrates?

Sounds like someone shouldn't be living by a cafe if they don't like it.
Same as the muppets who bought a house near Heathrow and complain about the noise once they've moved in.

Implicit in the second point is that a pro-Liberal Democracy, anti-Islamist stance is comparable to National Socialist anti-semiticism. Whilst this bacon odour story is the height of absurdity, your simili trumps even it! Islam has done and is doing a good enough job of surpressing public criticism; its clerics issue fatwas, it's operatives behead journalists (and publish the act just so others may know what's coming) and murder their own kin for apostasy. It does not need you to engage in intellectually deficient and deceitful invigilation on it's behalf. As ever, a little knowledge is dangerous.

No, the second point was meant to be a simile between the dangerous scapegoating of one group in society to make a political point.
The same can be said of and is true of other groups, namely benefit claimants and union bosses by certain aspects of the press.
I for one, don't think that Muslims need this kind of attack in order to make them public enemy number one as certain minorities in their community do a good enough job already - far better than the media!

Many organisations or individuals of different leanings have fuelled the prejudices of others in order to fulfil their agenda.

Mr Webb-Lee objected to the aplication - complained that his Muslim friends refused to visit him becase they ''can't stand the smell of bacon.''
So is bacon to a muslim what garlic is to a vampire?
