Not really no as people prefer to breast feed as they feel its better for the baby.so if they're getting the milk via the bottle or breast it doesn't matter

i would say in a 'modern' society it is far more acceptable than in a repressed victorian society.

the thing is, she's not having a p1ss in public or is not flashing her ****, she is feeding her baby, not because she wants to pull her t1ts out, it is because her baby is more important that mildy offending t1t-o-phobic people.

It's not just about the health benefits.

Why spend £££ on bottles and steralising equipment and time expessing line a cow,, when it is there on tap?

Also most breastfed babies don't like bottles, and most mothers are advised NOT to use bottles for a few months when baby is born. For many reasons, one being it interferes with the milk supply as well as confusing the baby. A bottle is far easier to drink from than the breast, so once bottles are used, the baby can get fussy at the breast. Sometimes this can result un baby refusing to breastfeed and prefering the bottle.

That may then to issues with mum and baby bonding, or cause other emotional problems.

So, expressing is by no means an easy consideration.

I did say "get under cover" which seems a reasonable compromise vs tit(s) out in a public place

I think he is making a referance to both toilets and changing rooms (I assume of the nappy changing variety? As clothes changing rooms are not suitable) are both places where you go to either have a poop, or clean one up.

Take 'them' where?

Do you honestly think people carry urine and poo filled nappies around with them all day??
Most newborns poo about six times a day, and the buggers don't tend to like to wee and poo at the same time

You change a wet one, put a fresh one on, and then they POO!!

I really don't care.

Given the choice of screaming hungry baby, or quiet little thing being fed, I'll go for the latter. If that means a booby comes out, fine, as long as the crying stops.

Here is a bit of advice if your wife is expecting your first child.
Encourage breast feeding at all costs.
Take it from me - you will sleep a lot better for your troubles.

Lol, because you won't get roped into doing a 'night feed' on a fri and/or sat night, so she can have a rest!

The bit where the original post I was responding to said 'baby changing room' - that's the baby equivalent of a toilet. That's where the dirty nappies are.

Of course if the woman happens to be a in ladies clothes shop and they happen to be happy with a clothes changing room being used for breastfeeding then maybe that would be OK...

...but here's the thing. Why should woman have to hide away because they want to feed their baby?

Indeed let's turn this around. What is it that so offends you about a baby being breastfed?

Thankfully I haven't had to suffer such torture personally

I'm surprised so many people have a problem with the breastfeeding in public issue though. Seemingly it can be done perfectly discreetly, so I don't see an issue. If a woman is doing it in a manner to draw in every bit of attention, then maybe she personally is at fault and not the act itself.

Tbh, I still don't care, I'd rather boob out than crying.

Neither of our kids would take a bottle. Our oldest breast fed until he was 20 months old - it was a bit wierd that he would negotiate with mummy as to which one he wanted!

Also the production of breast milk is regulated in terms of flow, volume and time by the amount of milk being drawn down, which is normally based on the baby's appetite. Using a pump can confuse this natural feedback mechanism.

I take it that you don't spend all day out in public (bad mummy!) so you may get Just The One to dispose of when out & about ... why not take it with you wrapped in a plastic bag? Put it in a bin somewhere.

A Changing Room (not a toilet) seems a quite, sensible place to breast feed IMHO.
