This was obviously someone's pride and joy looking at the parts. I am really surprised a car like this hasn't left a trace somewhere on some forum or somewhere on the internet as a project.
Cars like this take a fair bit to sell anyway. I don't think it is the price, seeming in such a hurry to sell and constantly reducing the price might raise some peoples suspicions.
Mind you, if I had the space in my garage I would definitely get this for around the 5K mark. Even if it does require some work it is still a bargain.

Well done mate!
The lack of evidence around the engine rebuild could have really sunk you, but you sold it for more than you had it advertised both on here and on ebay! Plus it didn't take all that long, so you deserve a pint or two tonight!

If I was selling a car, in particular a Scoob, my first port of call would be here..... followed by a freebies ad on Pistonheads, then a eBay advert along with Autotrader, and then last resort for me.... but on the road side with £5999 in the window..
Soo all that, means that he could have sold it anywhere, but actualy selling the car on here or ebay is a nono. I looked at the eBay advert.... erm I mean all 15 of them and it failed to sell - http://completed.shop.ebay.co.uk/i.h....c0.m270.l1313
Ohhh and all 1 day listings wtf
