At least it saved him a couple of hundred quid that way. The bill would have been over £2100 with the VAT

Wow. You paid all that money and didn't even get a receipt? Good luck getting your money back, as I imagine as soon as it goes legal (if it does), they'll say - "nope, we didn't do the job, if you think we did, prove it."

Seriously, I hope you get this sorted. That's a LOT of money for something that only took me 3 hours which included a run to Halfords for a new socket.

Ive used PS a few times and EVERY single time when i pay i get a printed receipt on headed paper detailing everything,so if the OP is saying he didnt get a receipt i say it is a load of bollocks as every VAT registered company must provide a receipt whether it is paid in cash or otherwise.

This thread stinks of a wind up

basically there is a receipt for just under £200 which is for the parts then the rest is cash labour but he gave me the job sheet which cleary shows the work they have carried out, work it out for yourselves.i came on here to find out a couple of things on advice from a friend,i didnt know it would cause a storm.im a proud owner of a 800bhp nissan skyline r32 and have the scooby for fun.i have never been on the gtr forum slagging anyone although i have only been on it maybe a handful of times, maybe because no one has ripped me off for that car.i have been using the same tuner for the best part of 4 years mgt racing and they are the best!!! i thaught after visiting power station for the 1st time this would be the case with them but the 2nd time i went this happened, how wrong i was.

You would get a receipt that had everything detailed on it.You wouldnt get a 'job sheet' with £200 on it and nothing for the rest of the cash payment thats not how established companies do business, certainly not a company as big as powerstation unless it is a different powerstation ie not the one in Tewksbury
Sorry dud but this fantasy reeks of BS

Why we need to be told about your other car beats me... as if that has anything to do with it?.. job sheet..invoice....ANYTHING... you ask us to work it our for ourselves... yet we still have not seen anything? how can we?

I really hope this isn't a sick wind up.. because PS have more than enough here to sue for libel..and that'll be more than 13 hours labour!

Plus there is still no answer to the question of what the Flange was made up for and what was ment by swapping the brake discs around
Also i cant see a company like PS not giving a VAT recipt for work done.

I thought that too but I am reserving judgement pending the receipt.

Why the OP is avoiding the 'How much money did you actually hand over to PS?' question is what is bothering me the most. If the PS job sheet says 13 hours to do the job, how do we know that PS didn't turn round and say it shouldn't have taken us that long, we'll only charge you half the labour?

Sorry to say without a receipt or invoice then I'm afraid you can kiss your money goodbye, it could have ended up in someone's back pocket who did it 'on the side'.

Any dealership / repairer / specialist will always issue an invoice upon collection of a vehicle when you are paying up on the spot as you have done. I cannot understand why you would pay up and then not ask for an invoice / receipt detailing the work and charges levied against you.

I am damn sure that if I were in your position then I would have not paid the invoice until I was happy with the charges, IF Powerstation are carrying out cash jobs without a receipt / invoice then they were incur the wrath of HMRC pretty sharpish.

If MGT racing are so good & you have used them for four years why use Powerstation?I would of taken my subaru to MGT.

mgt are skyline specialist, although they can work on subarus.the reason i originaly went to power station was because ast suspentions who work inside of power station owed me money for lowering springs which never came, the springs were for my b4 legacy which i sold and baught the type r sti.after contacting ast various times for a refund we came to an agreement that they would fit whitline front and rear roll bars and do wheel alignment and we could call it quits.i was happy with that, when i went there i loved the setup there and thaught they were nice chaps and ended up spending a further £650 on sti arms, drop links, anti lift kit, poly bushes.i left happy telling them i would be back for more work on my subaru,i went back and they ripped me off

all sounds very iffy to me...a reputable company not putting labour on their receipts...huh? as has already been stated by one or two members; two sides to every story perhaps.

I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt but you are avoiding our questions. Until you answer how much you paid, I'm boycotting this thread and going over to the VF35 thread (rather than jumping between the two).
