Not as of yet but I am sure that better results could be achieved from the VF48, but as to how much better it would be I could not tell you as I have yet to even get near a standard one to see how they behave.

Its no problem mate, I was as interested in getting to the bottom of the figures as the next person and it seems that we got it sorted in the end.
The VF43 responded really well to my setup on this car, being that it was my first 2.5 I was very pleased with the change in the overall performance of the car and as for Pez he is probably still grinning like a madman.

Grinning is a understatement.. Can't believe how different the car is now it's actually set up correctly. So much smoother and the power delivery is more constant over the whole rev range, much nicer to drive now. Gonna be interesting tomorrow

No meth, just v-power, holding about 1.3bar boost after a slight spike... Am on my mobile at the mo so can't put the graph up just yet but bear with me

Good figures, but why are they running it in 4th instead of 5th? and as a comparison, does anyone have a printout of a standard vf43 on a 2.5? (someone is bound to ask if I didnt )

When I get the pre and post turbo setup graphs back from Bob then you will have a good comparison of how it was before and how it is now. It would be unfair to compare a standard VF43 2.5 unless it had a similar setup to Pez's car. The good news is that the figures from S4U are very close to the ones that Bob got from his road dyno.

Great early torque on that graph
TX.
PS. Boost is trailing right off too, why's that?

I'm well happy with it Tbh... The last one i done at DSA on at a open day they also ran it in 4th so not just S4U. Think Iain will have to answer the boost query as I'm a mere novice at this lol

The boost dropping off is the 2.5 lump swallowing the air from the turbo faster than it can produce it in the tail end, as this was my first 2.5 Bob explained this to me and also said it is quite hard to keep the 43 above the 1.0bar mark in the tail end so this one did quite well, yes I ported this turbo and setup the intake to reduce compressor surge.

So would i be right in thinking that it's a bit of trade off between compressor surge for a smooth acceleration and the end boost figure?
Also just wondering if it makes a difference how they have the DCCD set, at DSA they locked the diff, at S4U they left it in auto??
Whatever tho i know that the car is much nicer to drive now than before and it does feel bloody quick through the gears

Ooo I'm sure there's a couple more tweaks to be done yet... Need to get plugs which are gapped correctly as they're just standard ones in there at the moment i think. Then maybe get Bob to do a map on the rollers to just finely tune it. Then it's time for some serious saving.... Can't see the standard clutch lasting too long lol
