Re 2.1/2.5 we say you can get a better result from a 2.1 if you aren't going to the extent of cam and head work. 567 bhp from stock heads and cams?

if I had a chance to do it again on a classic it would be a 2.3 if it was a newage I would go 2.1 with avcs. not taking anything away from a 2.5 as I loved my 2.5 and yes they do rev very well

as martyn says 20% meth with vpower and thats only at 2bar.the pull from the torque is unbeleivable to say its only a 2.1 and when that starts to tail off the bhp just keeps going and going.the main thing for me though is the reliabilaty of it,up to now it has proved to be rock solid even at that power and thats what means the most to me.

Thanks for the info. I'm just trying to find enough info so I can decide whether i want uprated cams or not. However i dont want to lose my spool up which is full boost from a GT35R Billet at <4000rpm. I Love the way the car drives now.

It is possible that your standard cams are beginning to hold you back at that level Daz.
We are shortly going to try a turbo swap on this one currently running a .63 GT35R.
We are going to try an SC35R Billet with a .82 housing and are hoping for similar spool but better top end. We have mentioned to the owner that his stock heads and cams may be a limiting factor to outright output, but don't want to lose too much in the midrange.

That's exactly what has happened. It wont take anymore timing and more boost doesnt make any difference. We're going to try some race fuel but the gut feeling is that cams are stopping play. Do you have any graphs of 2.5/ avcs heads /35R and the cosworth S2 cams anywhere for comparison Martyn?

This is one of the only graphs I have when mine was mapped by Paul on my 2.5ltr block, this was at 1.6bar as the injectors maxed out at 5500rpm. It was on my normal GT35 with .63 housing. It wouldof been nice to see what it was like when it was mapped to 2.2bar but I never got one.
