My sisters in-laws have apparently never done a days work ever in their entire life's according to my BiL. They've just sat at home all day smoking and drinking their benefit money away. Now get this - He has emphysema and she gets carers allowance for looking after him. She then has a stroke and unfukcingbelieveably he now gets carers allowance for her too. So now they both get it for each other (How does that work). They also drive a brand new car paid for from disability allowance.
Last year they paid for my sister and all her family to go with them on...not one but two cruises, all paid for with benefit money. They've told them to make sure their passports are all valid as their paying to go on another soon.

Bless 'em.

This **** makes me want to vomit...... How have they ben allowed to have so many kids?? If they can't afford to look after them why have they been allowed to carry on ? They should have been sterilised the lazy layabout ****s!!!

The kids should be taken in to care and given a real life with a proper family and the parents booted out on to the street, they'll soon get a job....... OR DIE!!!!

I pay my way like everyone else on here and get punished every ****ing year by the goverment because they need more of our hard earned money to make this **** hole of a country tick when all along they are paying money out to people that don't pay in to the system...... ****ing ******!

Cut all benefits for people that have never put in, give people that have put in more money for 6 months to help them get on their feet and find work again without the stress and agro.... after 6 months Stop payments.

The amount of money going out to lossers clearly outways the amount of moeny coming in from us honest people!

As for 20K worth of damage leaving it uninhabitable.... **** them, they made their bed, now let them lay in it, no respect these people ARRRGGHHHHH AM NOW VERY VERY ANGRY!

It's the state supporting their lifestyle that's the problem.

Obviously it's only the dumb ones that think another kid = more cash. Most normal people with half a brain like to know they can bring a child up on their own.

As long as the government makes it easier not to work, such people will continue to have more children, and simply rake it in on the handouts.

My brother is a perfect example. As much as I love him to bits, the fact he has 5 children and rakes it in on benefits makes me sick. Also his 'army pension' will always see him right, so in the meantime they are taking all they can get!

This is a awful, yet fortunately rare and extreme example of the challenges the government face.

Be careful though you are reacting in exactly the way the Daily Mail want you to react. The primary aim of that appalling publication is get middle England all outraged and indignant as often as possible, to sell more papers and drive their own divisive and reactionary agenda

Best bet is to get on with your own life and hope that the powers that be get to grips with this issue

Most of us will be appalled but a sigificant number will jus let it go ( check the ratio of posters above with experiences of something similar ! ) and to some it will just inspire more sponging..!

There has to be some solution to this madness. I don't know what it is, but its just not reasonable to let the current system continue. Whatever is decided, its not going to be any easy option, that is for sure...

Would they have [insert silly number] kids if they had to pay for their upkeep by working of course not which makes the blood boil as us normal folk have to work fecking hard + scrimp & save to get by with just 1 or 2 kids

Every case should be reviewed, starting with the largest claimants and working down along with new limits imposed on how much, all based on NMW and relative to a basic cost of living.

corradoboy, I am annoyed with you, this thread has really fired me up

You know what sticks in my throat, they IR are sending letters by the shedload to Companies, telling them to get their tax paid on time or face massive fines.
They have just introduced a shed load of new fines, Corporation Tax etc.
Now you know why. To keep the scroungers in a good standard of living.
Oooooh, I am so annoyed, especially for my pal

Jus some perspective .

Iv not bred because iv never considered im doing well enough . My present girlfriend was raised in the dark city ( no electricity at that time provided ) black suburb of Bulawayo . The house was built by us colonisers and the family paid rent . Her father died when she was six and her mother was left to provide for Judi and her 5 siblings , which she did on her own .
Judi did well as did her brothers and sisters except the sisters died and a brother had some problems with the ganga . So now judi ( forced out by Mugabe) provides for the remaining relatives including her daughter at uni . and this brother who has ONE son and has only been able to get work occasionally. They all live in a house built by Judi in a white suburb and rent out the one they were brought up in.

Its a bit surreal that the countrys new masters ( and many others) , the chinese , for a long time only allowed one child whilst we in this country are willing to stump up for families to have 7/8 eight offspring and watch them do **** all all day for themselves

Cos we can obviously afford it

Funny you say it is rare, there are degrees of this sort of abuse of the system and no one actually knows how many are actually 'at it'. As you rightly point out Middle England is being agitated by articles like this and to expand on that i think that middle England is getting a little tired of supporting the *lifestyle unemployed of this country and middle Englanders are creaking under the weight of taxation and rising outgoings and i think any right minded person would feel angry at cases like this - the thing is Martin, neither you or I know if this is isolated or a one-off, it seems we see and hear about quite a few so called one-offs, when does a one-off become more than that - exactly how many similar examples does it take?

Example, not hearsay, not a freind of a friend
I do know someone who is 36 has never, ever worked, has four kids by three different fathers ranging from 5-18 , has a 3 bed council house all paid for, gets a shed load of benefits and goes on holiday twice a year and has no intention of working. She drinks herself into a stupor most evenings and her idea of a meal for the kids is sweetcorn and chips. Jenny's brother lived with her for 8 years, he earns around 30-35K per annum, yet she still claimed her single mother and other benefits during this time.
^^^^^^^^^Oh look, here's another 'one off' ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I think most right minded people are justifiably annoyed and angered by this sort of problem, most of us will now have to work past 65 just to get a pension worth having, yet we have people who will get one handed to them, or a benefit that equates to it even though they haven't worked for it or contributed much if anything to it because they have played the system and beat it*.

I do really hope the conservatives have the b*lls tackle this as NL never, ever bothered to.

*I do understand that not all unemployed are scroungers!

Can you actually blame people for reacting in such a way to a story like this though Martin.

I find it hard to believe that the council concerned can go along with the demands made by this selfish family. They seem to expect everything without any feeling of responsibilty for themselves. They regard it as a right and that is the basic error in the system.

The state of the house they were in should tell us all we need to know about the family.

Well logic (I know I used logic again!!) would dictate that if this was an common and everyday situation then it wouldn't be news, and therefore wouldn't be worth printing

People are rightly angered by this situation. I'm just saying it's worth examing the DM's need to constantly wind up middle England for their own political reasons

That said some credit should be given to the Daily Mail, as they do play a key role in providing content for this forum

Do you think that this family's behaviour, and the acquiessance of the council should be kept secret from the public Martin?

Honestly Les, you are a dimwit!
The only answer is to let this sort of news out is in the Guardian - so the gucci socialists and chattering classes can chat about it first over a bottle or two of chardonnay before the riff-raff like you and me get all foaming at the mouths.

Then if they deem it to be 'real news' suitable for us great unwashed we might get to hear about it ut not before another quango is set up to help those poor unfortunate 'one-offs' that need love and indeed new houses because they broke the old one

I know this is going to come as a shock to you but...

A. I despise socialism
B. I have NEVER bought the Guardian (the Indy sometimes)
C. I only drink champagne

The genuine point I was making appears to be lost as usual

Does champaign taste a bit like champagne and is it just for the elite like yourself?

If the papers didn't bring things like this to the attention of the public then i guess no one else will, the thing is that even though the DM and other red top rags may have their own agendas, by and large the general public those people who pay their bills and mortgages, put into retirement funds, live by the rules, etc do not dash round the houses and burn the chavs. They do have the right to read about how and why and who their taxes fund/support.

Sometimes you do come across as a pompous *** Mart however i am glad someone so superior is here to point out just how dumb and sheep-like i really am! Thank you for being there for me!

Spelling now corrected - thanks

Funny how my apparent pomposity offends your sensibilities, yet folk posting up pictures of guns, or saying things like 'gas them all'. Warrants absolute silence from you. What a strange world we live in.

As for being superior, well I'm flabbergasted by that comment, it's not me calling my fellow human beings 'chav scum' matey it's YOU!!

Do the guns pictures really need commenting on, by not saying anything i am then guilty of feeling the same way??? or somehow condoning it, it is pub talk highly unlikely that a SN'er is going to get a semi auto cut down pump and blow away the chavs because they read something in the DM - this isn't yet the USofA, the land of the free - free of responsibilities that is.

The pen is mightier that the sword and i would rather have the likes of the DM point this sort of thing out so reasonable people can draw their own conclusions and lobby vote to make things better for us all

flabbergasted, really. I have seen you call all sorts of people all sorts of names on here Martin so yet again do not go the pompous and offended from East Grinstead route!

I would rather tell it like it is, i am hardly pompous, verbose maybe but never afraid to call a spade a spade!

I think said posts which include imagery of guns and bricks may have simply been a combination of knee jerk reactions, sarcasm and maybe a hint of frustration and anger ar the situation. Therefore when this is more obvious it receives no serious replies.

That's my take on it anyway.
