Apple are about to "Change Everything" again

Hi Dunx
Not quite sure the trading status would sit well with our retail plans, though this site seems to be populated by informative and clued up people
Sorry to hear about the loss of your phones. Has your IT department thought about a corporate mobile me subscription ?

No, no, it'll use your existing TV, just like the current Apple TV but will run iOS4 which mean all the greatness of the iPad and iPhone on your TV. The biggest change will be with streaming TV, once the broadcasters see the massive revenue stream they'll be in like Flynn. Of course you'll be able to sync your Photos and other content from your existing devices.

Now about this iTV.
I , for one, am not too overtly over excited. For a couple of reasons:
1. I already have an Apple TV plugged into my big *** LCD tv. With ATV Flash installed on it, it has up until now been more than enough for streaming, syncing movies from my mac at home and provided a way of displaying photos, movies etc quite adeptly.
2. Then moved up to a Mac Mini plugged into same big *** tv and twinned with an apple wireless keyboard and mouse and Drobo NAS unit, provides more than enough storage, multimedia and wifi enabled access that a man can need.
So whilst this new product may be quite exciting, until I see its immediate benfits over what I have now, then to me it will remain another iPad.
Cool, great gadget but ultimately nothing new or ground breaking to make me want it (well not until version 2 or 3 )
I am open to be proved wrong though

Well as an iphone 4 user I certainly don't. I've had it 3 and a bit weeks now and not encountered any of these so called issues/failures/utter boll0cks hype made up by the anti fan boys.
Not had any signal issues what so ever and I don't yet have a case on mine so don't see what all the crying's about.

Such a fuss, is it all necessary I wonder.
No one can resist a bit of **** taking though!

Les I can only deny it through my experience and my experience of owning an iphone 4 is that I have had not had any issues with it. In fact I did have one issue which was my wireless kept dropping but all I had to do was press the network reset button in settings and it's been fine ever since so no long lasting/permanent/can't be rectified easily issues

Les on the other hand has never even seen an iPhone first hand but has posted around fifty times stating that they are rubbish.
Bit odd if you ask me.

On the other hand i have seen one , and its perfectly fine Les - owner was assuring me all was wonderful , they even supply the rubber band it needs to wear ( to prevent signal loss ) FREE !
And anyway its not an issue at all if your right handed / can read upside down

Clams do work for me, you however are one and a hairy one at that. Now can you add something constructive - doubtful - or move on.

P.S. Shame a S'net group buy would go down a storm...

Totally agree about the geeky and creepy metrosexuals that typically work in the fan stores. I've always berated ridiculous Apple fan boys such as Markus. Apples are all about form over function anyway, right?
Wrong. We've got 5 iPods at home and in the cars and these really are the epitome of good industrial design. They look stylish and the user interface ensures the minimal effort is required to get to where you want to go. What really converted me was the iPod touch I got as a free gift from a clothes store last year. It's basically an iPhone without the phone. The apps and games are out of this world. If you bought a smartphone and it doesn't have the logo of a fruit on it, then you bought the wrong one!
I'm lying on the sofa typing this post from my touch of course!

Can you imagine
You could remap yourself with your iphone and an app from the app store
"Could that mean that if Apple were interested we could be getting an Apple iCar in the not to distance future?
Sources within Apple have confirmed to Pocket-lint that there is a secret internal department within the company that specialises in transport, although it's not 100 per cent certain whether that means car accessories, car information systems, or a full blown iCar."

The fan boys will be pre ordering and sleeping outside the stealers

I'm not sure what Gordon Murray is playing at with that city car thing.
He goes ahead, makes a concept, even comes up with a "revolutionary" production system...then says something to the effect of "nah, I can't be bothered to make it...lets get someone else to do it".
Got to admit, look at a G-wiz. Look how ugly it is, how no thought nor effort was made in designing the thing, the wiper sums the whole ethos of the car. Codged, bodged then sold at at an over inflated price under the "eco" banner.
Imagine what Apple could have done if they made a G-wiz equivelent, the market certainly needs someone to pave the way to make a trendy sexy eco-car. But obviously, being American, silly little city cars aren't going to work, remember, we've been here before (Sinclair).
